Daniel 7:18

Do you think this is a good verse to support the case for aion not being properly translated as ever/everlasting/eternal?

But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever. (KJV)

Yet the saints of the supremacies shall receive the kingdom and they will safeguard the kingdom unto the eon, even unto the eon of the eons. (CLV)

Sounds to me like "ages" is a better fit.

The point is the difference between a finite word and an infinite word. Eon and age are both finite. :)

The point is that conventional translations' use of ever, which denotes infinity in this verse, is particularly redundant; whereas this verse seems to make more sense in translations that use a finite word for aion.
