A Happy Thought
« on: July 19, 2008, 01:08:03 AM »

Grief and Tears.
Joh 11:33-35  Jesus, therefore, when he saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, did groan in the spirit, and troubled himself, and he said, "Where have ye laid him?" they say to him, "Sir, come and see;"   Jesus wept.

Death
Rom. 5:8  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Pain
Joh 19:1  Then Pilate had Jesus taken away and whipped.

His Future for Us
Rev. 21:4  He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There won't be death anymore. There won't be any grief, crying, or pain, because the first things have disappeared.

He Himself
Php 2:8-11  ...and in fashion having been found as a man, he humbled himself, having become obedient unto death--death even of a cross, wherefore, also, God did highly exalt him, and gave to him a name that is above every name,  10  that in the name of Jesus every knee may bow--of heavenlies, and earthlies, and what are under the earth--and every tongue may confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

We Ourselves.
1Jn 3:2   Dear friends, we are now God's children, but what we will be like has not been revealed yet. We know that when Christ is revealed we will be like him, because we will see him as he is.

He has experienced deeply all the woes we share.   He experienced them, and continues to experience them, for us.  In changing us to be like Him, he will change the very conditions that caused tears, death, grief, and pain--not just for His Children, but for Himself.  He will remove these woes from our lives, and in so doing, from His.

Is it conceivable that Christ our Elder Brother will have more Joy when ALL is ALL than the rest of us combined?

Heb 10:32  But you must continue to remember those earlier days, how after you were enlightened you endured a hard and painful struggle.
