Hey Brenda,

Figure you might like this. I had always heard in the churches and seen many religious pictures painted with a lion and lamb laying down together. In those pictures I seen these quotes at the bottom. But when you read the scriptures it does not say the lion will lay down with the lamb.

Isa 11:6 "The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them.

Isa 65:25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, The lion shall eat straw like the ox, And dust shall be the serpent's food. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain," Says the Lord.

Hi Eileen,

I have friends who seem to dig up all sorts of things on the Internet and they often send them my way.

Peace,

Joe

Oh So that isn't an actual scripture :o
I appreciate knowing that :)

Although I was reluctant to change the light heartedness of this thread I thought perhaps it might be beneficial to take a deeper look into the scriptures previously quoted.

Isa 11:6  The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

Isa 11:7  And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

Isa 11:8  And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice's den.

Isa 11:9  They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of  the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

I don't believe the intent of these verses is to imply exclusiveness, for instance will it be a peaceful relationship exclusively between the wolf and the lamb but if the leapard confronts the lamb all bets are off? The cow and the bear are cool with each other but watch out for the lion, you see what I am saying?

The implication here is that peace will rein, natural enemies will be enemies no more.

Isa 65:25  The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

Every now and then God provides a glimpse of His promises through the natural world, I believe He has provided such a glimpse with this man's pets in the video, all natural enemies but living in peace together.

WhoAmI, I commend your intention of keeping the scripures intact I just wanted to look more into the message of these verses.

Peace,

Joe
