 Friends,

 Within the next few days, many schools around the country will start a fresh new year. Over the past few years, the devastation and shock of shooting incidents like Virgina Tech, and Columbine have literally brought me to tears at times. To this day, I cannot comprehend how someone my age, a peer, can commit such horrific atrocities.

 Please keep every student in your prayers, as they embark on a new journey to bigger, better, and hopefully safer places in the times to come.

      Be still, and know that I am God;
         I will be exalted among the nations,
         I will be exalted in the earth!
         
            The LORD of hosts is with us;
         The God of Jacob is our refuge.

Good idea! I will pray for all students struggling with isolation and depression. I know that it is very difficult growing up without having people to relate to. I hope that the youth will come through their experiences with a greater sense of compassion for each other.
