Once we were one!

No longer caring what they feel, let them think what they will. Am I secure within you’re will, the great day shall reveal. All day long their laughter hunts me down, as if I were something to be killed.

They conceived in their hearts this was you’re will, with me they had their thrill. Their feet were swift for blood, they view me as a thug.

I heard them shout, what’s he about, but with me there was no doubt. They denied me life as to rid me from their sight.

I spoke the truth, but their eyes beheld me as a brute. They trample all my love that came from above. Bewilder am I they pushed me aside, did they not have the same father as I.

Beautifiul Richard x

Reminded me of this poem.

I dreamt death came the other night
And Heaven's gate swung wide
With kindly grace, an Angel came
And ushered me inside:
And there, to my astonishment,
Stood folks I'd known on earth,
some I'd judged as quite unfit
Or of so little worth:
Indignant words rose to my lips
And never were set free,
For every face showed STUNNED SURPRISE!
NO ONE EXPECTED ME!

Did you write this short poem yourself Richard?  It is lovely, you may want to post this in the Off Topic section next time, but thanks for sharing it with us.

Heidi

PS If this is one of your creations, I will keep an eye out for your postings.  ;) I love poetry etc.

Heidi, I write all my poems with my fingers do I type. They come not from books or anywhere’s from man. Its hard to understand but God causes me to feel a certain way and then has me praise him in this way. I tell you a truth the words come from God. Think of brother Ray, could a man or women have his understanding except God gives it, no they can not.

Neither can I write poems anymore than I could fly to the moon. I have plainly confessed I have not a college education and was not blessed in high school. I am what I am by the grace of God and by Gods grace alone am I.

I apologize also for using the general board for what you call poems I see it in a different way, maybe they are but its how God teaches me to praise him as he draws me near.  :)
