Another reflection

[musicman]

Sometimes I am inspired by the titles of other posts on this forum.  For instance, today I noticed a post entitled reflection.  I was so inspired by this title that I forgot to actually read the post.  For, I must comment on a reflection of me that took place on the beach down here in Miami.  See, I was lying on my stomach wearing a thong.  Well, let me just say, that many commented on the reflection that was taking place from me.  And I agree.  We should all reflect on the sights that we experience.  The sensitivity of the human spirit is very powerful at times.  I mean, this particular episode had adults squinting, old ladies gagging, and there were tears in the eyes of children.  Powerful stuff, huh?

Thank you for allowing me to share my powerful reflection with you folks.

Thanks for the smile!

Hey Musicman,

                       My tong days are over;  , eventually they will have to donate my body to science fiction;

Hey Samson,

How did you become a Tong, hope it is in the past as you say.
The picture musicman painted with his words is scary.

Geo.

[musicman]

Oh come on, it's not that scary.

[gmik]

I would love to sneak in your classroom.  I bet you keep them yunguns on their toes!!

(Oh, gee, thanks for that visual image---eraser please, quick!!!)

[musicman]

My inspiration to them is evidenced by the tears in their eyes.

[aqrinc]

Hello Everyone,

I don't know if any of you were being serious in my case, so I won't assume you were. In my case, I was only kidding and secondly, I never have, never will wear a tong. I don't like them.

The point in my expression was that even IF I wanted to wear one, I'm approaching 52 years old and wouldn't qualify, instead my body is more likely to qualify for a science fiction movie, ha ha, get it.

If I embarrassed anyone, my sincere Apologies.

                                           Samson.

I am so full of preservatives, from eating too much junk food, when I die they can just prop me up beside the Juke Box and nobody would notice for days. That would make a great country song!

Now I know....there's a commandment somewhere that no man any age, under any circumstances should be wearing a Thong!

Somebody beat you to it.  There's a song with the line "Prop me up beside the Jukebox when I die."  Might even be the title...nobody discusses music on the radio any more.  Cant remember who does it either.

Hey Guys,

Just Prop me up beside the Jukebox when I die, is a country song by Joe Diffie.

Peace Suzie

Dave in Tenn. Yea the song is by Joe Diffie, it contains one of my favorite lines.

Lord I want to go to heaven; but I don't want to go tonight.

Here is the link to the video, very funny:

Also Thanks Suzie.
Here are the lyrics:

Well I ain't afraid of dying
it's the thought of being dead
I wanna go on being me
once my eulogys been read
Don't spread my ashes out to sea
don't lay me down to rest
You can put my mind at ease
if you fill my last request

Prop me up beside the jukebox if I die
Lord I wanna go to heaven
but I don't wanna go tonight
Fill my boots up with sand
put a stiff drink in my hand
Prop me up beside the jukebox if I die

Just let my headstone be a neon sign
Just let it burn in mem'ry
of all of my good times
Fix me up with a mannequin
just remember I like blondes
I'll be the life of the party
even when I'm dead and gone

Prop me up beside the jukebox if I die
Lord I wanna go to heaven
but I don't wanna go tonight
Fill my boots up with sand
put a stiff drink in my hand
Prop me up beside the jukebox if I die

Just make your next selection
and while you're still in line
You can pay your last respects
one quarter at a time

Dave and Doug,

If I remember right it was Alan Jackson..." Prop me up beside the jukebox when I die." I think no man or women over 40 should wear a thong..... It just puts the wrong image in my brain and I already got rid of the "Hell" image out of there now I have this image!     Wait a minute, Samson you better not be out there wearing a thong?!

[Imabeliever]

I think yer funny samson

[aqrinc]

I did see that somewhere, there was a caveat unless he was a BT forum contributor; so he
can keep wearing it. now where was that paparazi or camera guy selling pics in a certain
city by the bay in ca.

by not me Lol.

"My tong days are over;  Grin, eventually they will have to donate my body to science fiction"

Samson, I tried wearing tongs once.  Not the small ones that you use to turn french fries over with--the long ones I use on the grill.  Still, they didn't cover much.  Scared the dog, too.  He ran off in the woods and never came back.

Alan Jackson's song was "Don't rock the jukebox".
