We should never, ever look down on our brothers and sisters in the church.
Concordant version:
1Co 1:26 For you are observing your calling, brethren, that there are not many wise according to the flesh; not many powerful, not many noble,
1Co 1:27 but the stupidity of the world God chooses, that He may be disgracing the wise, and the weakness of the world God chooses, that He may be disgracing the strong,
1Co 1:28 and the ignoble and the contemptible things of the world God chooses, and that which is not, that He may be discarding that which is,
1Co 1:29 so that no flesh at all should be boasting in God's sight.
King James:
1Co 1:26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
1Co 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
1Co 1:28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
1Co 1:29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
I often feel that if I make into the former resurrection the people in this world who know me will say "WHAT!!??, THAT STUPID, WEAK, FOOLISH, CONTEMPTIBLE PERSON, WHO WE DISPISE, IS GOING TO JUDGE US?"
