I am new
« on: November 01, 2008, 10:38:35 PM »

Hello, everybody!
I am new to the forum and I would like to introduce myself.
I came across BT while I was researching for articles that it
may help my sister which is in the prosperity gospel for 7 years.
Then I came across a link that brought me here.
Thanks be unto God!
I have been reading straight up for the past three days. I can't get enough!!
I must admit, I feel exited, overwhelmed, in awe, confused all in the same time.
It took me about 12 hours to admit the truth about so called free will. At first I was angry ( I must confess
I even had a beer even though I promissed myself I would not drink) but God had opened my heart in ways I could not possibly imagine.
I am in the middle of a trial. Maybe I should say many trials. They all came one after the other.
Now I have hope and a new direction.
I thank God for Ray and you all.
Love in christ

Welcome to the forum hammer and nails

Slow down, It is funny when you realize how malnourished you were. There is a lot to digest here . You will have to read it again and again and will see more each time. The consequences however are hard

When Ezekiel took the roll and ate...it was sweet as honey in the mouth but then bitter in the belly...the things you are learning are exciting and refreshing and crystalclear ...but your friends and family and many others will not believe you.  They are deaf and blind...only God will open their ears and eyes. It can be lonely and you will find more questions and answers. Also the tribulations that you must go through as he works on you and the idols of your heart.

Hope you enjoy the fellowship, there is a lot to read here, Look forward to your posts after you have read all of Rays papers.

The seed has been planted  , let the Light ad water work so the fruit will come

Gal 5:22  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Welcome Hammer...

It's good to have a person who knows how to drive a point home.  Ha ha.

As someone has already said, please take it easy and don't worry about knowing everything the first few days or weeks.  Most of us have been around a while and we have found that learning the truth takes time and it just gets better and better all the time.  As soon as you are ready try to open up a little and share your life experiences so we can grow closer together.

We have a fellow here in Culver, IN who works on vehicles and we kid him quite a lot because his name is hammer.  Apparently that is his method of repairing cars.

Hope you have another reason for your name.  Ha ha

Welcome Hammer and Nail,
I am a fairly new member. I am like you. When I first found this website , I  could not not stop reading. At first I thought could this be possible. Within two days I believed it was so. I was so ready to let go of the Hell Theory and so happy to find out that I had been trying to save myself. That free self-will kept me from knowing only he could make me into what I needed to be. After, over coming believe in Hell and seeing his Love for all, I overcome some sins that I had tried on my own to overcome. Its so great to know he is the Saviour of All and will create us into his image.
Yes, all the people are right who tell you you will need to read over and over. Now, I am marking all the scriptures I can find Ray's shows us. I am also keeping a notebook of things I write down as I read. Yes, I have had the urge like all who finds out truth. But, now I see God led me here. He is able to do it for anyone and does not need mans help, but through the foolishness of preachers many have believed. But, he is still the source.
I am just so happy to learn. I am 54 and have believed since I was young. I had believed right when I was a child. The amazing thing about all of this I find he is longsuffering, kind, patient and loving with me and with all of us.

In His Love,
Marlene

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I am overwhelmed!
I don't know about tough as nails, LOL ;D
but I hope that the Lord will turn me into one.
About my screen name, it came to me as I was thinking about one
as a reflection of what I feel inside.
I know that I went too fast, but I couldn't stoop!!!!! :o
I believe in the book of Proverbs say not to be a mule or a horse.
I am definitely a horse, but I can be trained!!!
One day I will post my testimony and you will understand why I
was like that. Most of the scripture that Ray expanded happened to me!!!
Thank you again.
Your sister in Christ.

Welcome to our forum! It is SOOOO exciting, isn't it?
I am still excited after several months and still learning! SO much to unlearn too, huh?

We came out of the Word of Faith (Prosperity) movement that your sister is in.

I learn so much from the papers Ray has written as they are spectacular. Sometimes I needed a little change or wanted to read but had a limited amount of time. Then reading the emails is great because they are FILLED with great info too. The questions asked are often things you have pop up in your own mind and you get a quick, concise answer. Then you can go into the papers for a deeper answer. I copy a lot of stuff and take it with me so when I am stuck in a long line or something, I can pull it out and read wherever I am! :D

Looking forward to getting to know you better. ;D

Hammerandnails,
glad you're here! You will find a lot of good people here. I read everything and listened to all the audios, etc. for over 2 years before I joined the forum and then I just read a lot of the posts for three or four months before I posted anything! Don't be afraid to ask for help or prayer, jump right in!

Thanks again, guys!!! ;D
I feel like my son says when he is emotional: "Mommy, I feel warn inside!"
What a blessing from my faithful Father, to include me into His family!!
My family!!!Wow, it will take me a while to get used to that!!! 8)
Be, prepared, I have a lot of questions!!!!
Probably your task will be to set me straight in my thinking.
One of my deepest desires is to be authentic.
I had worn a mask for a while now, is time to be who I really am.
And I am what I am by the grace of God.
I welcome your correction at any time. Give it to me as it is.

Love you all.
