Cool verse

Read this last night in NLT translation,

12 Be careful how you live among your unbelieving neighbors. Even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will believe and give honor to God when he comes to judge the world.*

Through our behavior, others will believe and honor God.

Not sure how accurate the translation is, but sure goes along with Paul dying daily for the salvation of others.

So when we are weighed down with troubles, it is for your benefit and salvation! For when God comforts us, it is so that we, in turn, can be an encouragement to you. Then you can patiently endure the same things we suffer. 7 We are confident that as you share in suffering, you will also share God's comfort.
(NLT)

2Cr 1:6   and whether we be in tribulation, [it is] for your comfort and salvation, that is wrought in the enduring of the same sufferings that we also suffer; whether we are comforted, [it is] for your comfort and salvation; (youngs)

good post rocky:

1Cr 12:14 For the body is not one member, but many.

1Cr 12:26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

Amen to that, Rocky,

Gen 3:17
And to the human He says,  "As you hearken to the voice of your wife, and are eating from the tree of which alone I instruct you, saying not eat shall you from it, cursed shall be the ground when you serve it, for your sakes. In grief shall you eat of it all the days of your lives.

Notice the ground was cursed for our sakes.

Gen 3:18
And thorns and weeds shall it sprout for you, and you shall eat the herbage of the field.

Gen 3:19
In the sweat of your face shall you eat your bread, till your return to the ground, for from it are you taken, for soil you are, and to soil are you returning."

Eating this bread does not sound like an easy thing.  When we look at the lives of all the prophets, apostles and our Lord.  They each suffered, but out of this suffering has brought us salvation.

Gods love is not something that can be read and understood.  It must be lived and in this world, its not an easy task.  We must endure to the end to be saved.

God bless,

Wonderful observation Rocky

2Cr 4:15 For all things are for YOUR SAKES, that the "ABUNDANT GRACE" might through" the THANKSGIVING OF MANY" redound to "the glory of God."[/u]

2Cr 9:11 Being ENRICHED in every thing to "all bountifulness", WHICH CAUSETH THROUGH US "THANKSGIVING" TO GOD.[/u]

Titus 2:5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that "the word of God" be NOT blasphemed.[/u]

Then ofcourse there is this

Romans 2:24 For THE NAME of God IS blasphemed among the Gentiles THROUGH YOU, as it is written.

1Titus 4:16 Take HEED UNTO THYSELF, and unto THE DOCTRINE; continue in them: for IN DOING THIS "thou shalt both save thyself", and "them that hear thee."

I believe there is an "obedience" to the faith, and there are bad examples and good examples among us as they become "manifest" among us all. The wise shine but the wicked won't understand. Wise in a "wise builder" who not only being a hearer only of His words but a doer and a wise builder. I see it as "putting those things" into "practice" like showing mercy, judging not, condemning not being careful how we hear something because the measure we use will be measured to us. Stuff like that. Don't despise the day oof small things God gives the increase. God also wont be mocked to what a man soweth that also shall he reap.

He is definately a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him, I'm thankful for His drawing and tasting and seeing how good He is!

Just adding this

2Titus 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved UNTO GOD, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, "rightly dividing the word of truth".

1Cr 11:19 For there must be also heresies among you, that THEY WHICH ARE APPROVED may BE MADE MANIFEST "among you"

1John 3:10 IN THIS   "the children of God" ARE MANIFEST, AND "the children of the devil" whosoever "doeth not righteousness" is NOT of God, neither "he that loveth not his brother."[/u]

2Cr 10:8 For NOT he that "commendeth himself" is approved, BUT whom the "Lord commendeth".[/u]

Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is NOT meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. For he that in these things "serveth Christ" is acceptable to God, and approved of men. Let us therefore "follow after the things" which "make for peace", and "things" wherewith "one may edify another."

1Thes 2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which "effectually worketh" also in you that believe.

1Thes 2:14 For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, "even as they have" of the Jews:

1Thes 2:15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are CONTRARY to all men:
