Already I've talked this over with one of the moderators. It seems okay to post this, and if it is too controversial, I fully understand locking the thread.

Ray makes a comment in one of his audios (Can a Sovereign God Change; link to transcript provided above): "God does not improve Himself.  Now I’m not going to say that He never did, because I have some thoughts about that.  But that doesn’t make Him less of a being, to me it makes Him far greater.  But I’m not going to cover that until the conference."

For context.

Isolation of point of interest:

"Now I’m not going to say that He never did, because I have some thoughts about that."

I know this is his opinion, as the Bible is virtually silent as to this possibility. It raises many interesting questions... and if anyone believes they've found verses in scripture that allude to this, do share... and I'd like to know your thoughts on this.

Did God learn perfection? Was he somehow subjected relatively to the worldly trials we are now going through? Longsuffering?

Watching through a few of these (some I've listened to on audio already), this seems to be about "Young Earth VS Old Earth."

That's not really what I'm trying to start a discussion about. I'm interested in the implications of a God that became the God we know today.

If there are any specific moments you can point to in the content you posted that are relevant to this topic, it would be greatly appreciated.  :)

Where Did God Get Knowledge ?

To me, there is just to much needed info there to give a short answer.

Hope this helps.

Hey Superman,
Read Proverbs 8:21-29
You should really take the time and read or listen to the audios.
The November bible study 2008 should help out much!

I hope you were not serious with that question.  Do you really think anyone on this forum or the earth for that matter can answer that? ???

Sorry my bad.  I thought you were asking the question :)

I jumped the gun before reading the posts fully.  Seems like lately we've been getting more questions that have no answers, and answers that are teaching rather than discussing the teachings the forum is here for.
