Lake of Fire defined on Wikipedia
« on: December 02, 2008, 11:57:26 AM »

Hello all:

What would be you guys' thoughts on correcting the Lake of Fire definition in Wikipedia. It's open for editing at the moment and we could reference BT website. Any thoughts?

Hi Marques,

You should go for it.  If a reference to the BT website was use then it could lead people seeking further info to the truth.

Done...I only altered the entry under 'Lake of Fire in the Book of Revelation' and the External Link section. Check it out...

Looks great, but I predict it will be up less than a day.

Hope I'm wrong.

Yea, I know...the world doesn't want to hear the 'good news'; too busy condemning people to 'hell' to notice.

I wonder too how long it will stay up.
Who monitors the content anyway on Wikipedia?

Marque:  I made a paper copy just to see whether it is edited again later.

Thanks Brenda and Bob...I figured the short, straight to the point description would be better. I was tempted to copy huge portions of Ray's teachings...I wonder how 'wrong paleface' and 'Am I going to fast for anyone' would have fared... :D

i went to the link supplied by marques and looked down the page at the "lake of fire, in the book of revelation" and noticed that what it said in that section was exactly as what ray writes about in his lof series, then when i went further down to read the references noted in that section, it was INDEED referencing ray's lof series papers. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Either I am blind or the information you put in is already gone.

Appears so, Fox.  I don't see it any more either.

I just saw this post today, wish I had gotten to see what you put up there.  Very nice effort even though it was short lived.

I suppose it should come as no surprise that the one explanation that is the truth would remain hidden ( 1 Cor 2:7, Matt 13:44 ).

Oh, man I was gonna say 'I told you the devil monitors wikipedia'! But in light of Mc_Can's post I guess I won't! :D :D

Sorry Marques,

It was a great noble idea, I was able to see the Bible Truths at the External Link
Part, but now I see it's gone. I guess they rather have that Lady of Fatima(Whoever that
is) relate her so called vision of Hades extended to the unquencheable Fire or whatever.

I wonder who specifically makes the decision as to what's contained at Wikipedia. I know,
all is of God, but what Human desire prefers that, carnal of course.

                                             Kind Regards, Samson.

You can see the edit history of the page here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Lake_of_Fire&action=history

So anyone can see who modified the page and when.  You can even see the historical differences so you can still see what Marques had up there.

Just for fun I added an external link back in to part 1 of the Ray's LoF series.

I'm sure this could go on for years ;)
