Just thrown for a loop. God and His mystries ways

Dear, dear, dearest Darren, I said what I said from my experiences. In my Catholic upbringing we were taught about SCRUPLES which is exagerating sins and down playing any good acts we do. It is like always taking your spiritual temperature.  Do I love enough? Do I pray enough? Do I repent enough? etc. etc. etc. If God is Spirit and a loving one at that, then there should be peace (if you are in His will) Now, if you are tormented (like I was) and getting way too much input from others about MY spiritual condition then this is NOT good and not from God's wonderful Spirit. God's spirit convicts us lovingly, he does not torment us. You have to pronounce God's word over these thoughts. Thoughts produce feelings. When God convicts a person He does it with love and because of His phenominal GOODNESS we repent. We love you. Judy
