While you're typing, just click on the one you want and it will insert the smiley into your post where ever your cursor happens to be -- (you use your mouse or touchpad to click on the smiley).

Also, you can get accidental smileys by quoting a verse 8 and putting the reference in parentheses.  For example, (John 4:8).
