Thanks to all for making me feel welcome. I really do appreciate your kindness, and thank you Kat for the extra info. It will help. Yes Mike the CofC is in P.I. but outside of knowing  a few people who have been there doing missionary work I don't really know much about it.
I was listening to Ray's video on "Time and Eternity" and I heard him say," If the church teaches it, It is not true". (paraphrase) That is so funny, but a  profound truth. Ray is a very gifted man. A warrior. I am so very sad he is ill. All of us must leave this world. How many of us will leave as precious a record of their love for God as Ray is leaving every day.I pray everyday for God's mercy and healing. I have seen how much Ray is loved by all the kind sentiments expressed here. A very lucky man indeed.
"What is life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of the buffalo in the winter time. It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset".

Oh yes! Ron I can tell you are from Oklahoma! Your quote from the Indian! I live in Alabama, but I was born in Oklahoma in Anadarko, the "Indian capitol of the nation" :D
I have relatives in Oklahoma, but they are growing fewer as the years pass!
My mother's great, great, great  grandmother was a Shawnee or a Cherokee It has been so many years I can't remember which! I know my mom and dad said Shawnee, but my sister who is older than I contends it was Cherokee who knows?? Anyway! Welcome to the forum Okie!
I am an Okie, but for the majority of my life I lived as a desert rat in Arizona!  ;)

			Thanks Kathy,
Nice to know your "Red Earth People". We actually live about 40 miles from the town of Shawnee,OK.(Brad Pitts birthplace). It's a very nice city. I was born in California, but all my family and my wifes family are native "okies". i spent about 8 months in Casa Grande, AZ. Hottest place I have ever been or ever want to be. Broke 100F every day from July to Late october. I must say though, the desert has it's own beauty. It was fun to drive out into the desert sometimes and just listen to the silence. Anyway good to talk with you and I will again soon.
