Mystries in Ruth
Marlene:
Ruth, was a very humble woman. She was poor and she was willing to work hard. She did not feel anyone owed her anything. She was willing to glean so she could find favor. Because of this Boaz saw her as humble and he blessed her. God blessed her cause she was willing to work for what she got. She was willing to suffer for God. She loved her Mother In Law. She could have gone back to her country after her husband died.
Willing to take what was left after the reapers were done. She found great treasures in what was left.
This makes me think of the Woman in Matt. who had a daughter with a demon and she would not let up on Jesus to heal her daughter.
I love these verses.
Matt. 24 But he answered her and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
verse 25 Then came she and worshipped him , saying Lord, help me.
verse 26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
verse 27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet ;the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters'table
verse 28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is they faith be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
Ruth was willing to work hard for what she received even though it was the custom to let the poor glean after the reapers. She was humble and would do the best with what little she had. There was great pearls in that little. She knew it was of great value and it was worth the hard work. She choose to deal with the life handed to her . She did not what to have the life of ease.
It is a great blessing to us who are still children to glean behind the reapers. We should all work hard to learn what those who have learned share with us. Yes, Beloved and with the Holy Spirit of God and Brothers and Sisters sharing what he has given them we will all grow to maturity. But, I do not want to take advantage and I want to work hard like Ruth. This hard work to follow God led her to Ruth Chapter 4 verse 22 Obed her (Son) begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David. And all of us ever born will be blessed by Christ. First the few and next the many. We all obtain this knowledge from God.
If, that means someone telling me like it is so be it. I have been offended so many times in my life. You, start to get use to it. But, if it is to teach me truth over my carnal mind I am grateful. There is no offense there. What, I like about this is that for Brothers and Sisters to share is wonderful. But, I will tell you all something, before coming in here even though I went to church I did not study the OT much. I mosty studied the NT. But because of God leading me in here and all your post I really want to study the OT also. I am just blessed to be among such studied people. God has put in me to study and that is what I am doing. When, we search for ourselves that is God working in us. The blessing comes from him, but he uses all the mature to uplift and correct the babes. I know, you have our best at heart.
In His Love,
Marlene

The Way of Love
1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.
13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
1 Cor 13:1-13 (ESV)
Beloved:
(Rth 2:2) And Ruth the Moabitess saith unto Naomi, `Let me go, I pray thee, into the field, and I gather among the ears of corn after him in whose eyes I find grace;' and she saith to her, `Go, my daughter.'
Ruth was poor and needed food, any pride was removed by the time she arrived in bethlehem and she was willing to work hard for it as a gleaner.
Yes Marlene Ruth was certainly humble and that is a trait that needs to be developed in the elect
1Pe 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
Later on Boaz tell Ruth to stay in his field. The World is where the Many are working, but it is the working of His field that is needed. That is where the Sewer sews the Seed..., that is the spiritual food we need. God takes the weak of the world and gives them the opportunity to work His field.
Mat 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
The Word works in you and helps produce the spiritual fruits.
Marlene do not be intimidated the Old testament is not just a bunch of stories or history, it was studied by the Apostles and the Bereans when the New testament was being written. They expounded on it and showed its fulfillment with the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and His revelation of the scriptures to them , by of His teachings and the Revelations of Himself.

Beloved:
Koine the Bible in four verses
(Mat 22:37) Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
(Mat 22:38) This is the first and great commandment.
(Mat 22:39) And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
(Mat 22:40) On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
or even down to one verse
1Jn 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love
