Roy Coates:
Good Scripture M.G. thanks. Paul's story makes me think the same thing, how? That's why God only gives us today. If he showed us everthing we would not be able to bear it. Praise God!

My trouble is far less than some I am sure. Getting on the board and praying for other was good for me. Everybodys kind words and prayers was good too.
Peace

Praying for others always makes us feel better

judith collier:
M.G., I don't think until right now I ever considered boasting of my weaknesses but rather painted a pretty picture of my life. Being so humbled is not such a bad thing and the compassion for the sins of other's is always increasing. Now, if I, a bit of dust and bones care so much about other's(except for my husband who I tend to judge) even when they are sinning, I am beginning to see how much God might love us when we are being bad. I always felt I had to be perfect and that was impossible. How many times do I have to be humbled before I get this down pat? I guess a lot more. judy

Robin:
Judy, I hit a horrible place one day when I saw that my sin was so deep and so huge that it would be impossible for me to save myself. That was the best day of my life. That's when I knew who my savior is. I wasn't real confident that he wanted to save me, but I knew he was the only one who could.

Luke 18
9To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable: 10"Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other men—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. 12I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.'
13"But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'

14"I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."
