Indiana Bob,
Thanks for the good Civics lesson. It would do us all well to know the differences in the different forms of government as I personally feel that our Republic is in more danger than it has ever been. We do need to pray for our leaders and be more diligent in deciding who we will vote for and support. We really get what we deserve and my fear is that what we have now is not too good.
However, thanks be to our GOD who is in complete control.  HIS warnings are so very simple for us to understand and found in HIS word.

Since GOD Is In CONTROL Completely, what does it matter to us, let the dead deal with dead stuff.
One of the forum rules is that we do not discuss politics here, for good reason too.

How about some really important Scripture Like:

Num 11:18-20 (GNB)
18  Now tell the people, 'Purify yourselves for tomorrow; you will have meat to eat. The LORD has heard you whining and saying that you wished you had some meat and that you were better off in Egypt. Now the LORD will give you meat, and you will have to eat it.

19  You will have to eat it not just for one or two days, or five, or ten, or even twenty days,

20  but for a whole month, until it comes out of your ears, until you are sick of it. This will happen because you have rejected the LORD who is here among you and have complained to him that you should never have left Egypt.' "
