My dear Astrapho, it's all very elementary. Paul says in Rom 1:13 "..... I would not have you ignorant, brethren ...." and so being the more spiritual of the species we are open to what the scriptures say in Eph 6:21  "......the Lord shall make known to you all things"

So please ladies, treat us with the respect we are so worthy of.

The way I heard it was that Paul was giving ammo to women.  "I would not have you ignorant brethren."  No comma.
