These are interesting statements:
How true are these statement?
It was because of Adam God created the world.
It was through Adam, because of Adam, for the sake of Adam God created the heavens and the earth.
I personally believe that these statements are not supported by The Scriptures.
To me, 'what is it all about Alfie', and 'why are we here', can be summed up as follows:
A. Almighty God, is creating mankind after His Image, so He can ever a multitude of Children (who will all be purified by His Consuming Fire to always seek and do 'Good').
B. Almighty God, will also purify and save all the 'spiritual beings', which include 'Satan' and the 'hosts of angels' through His Consuming Fire.
Whether 'Adam' was the first 'Man' or not, His 'Gospel' is to 'save all from destruction, and sin and death'.
I hope this helps a little.
Kind Regards.

Col 1:16 For all things were created in Him, the things in the heavens, and the things on the earth, the visible and the invisible; whether thrones, or lordships, or rulers, or authorities, all things have been created through Him and for Him.
Col 1:17 And He is before all things, and all things have subsisted in Him.
While it's certainly true that all that was created before mankind is necessary for mankind, all of creation INCLUDING mankind is FOR HIM--the Creator. This is HIS gig.

Wondering Bob;
I thought that the world was created for the "Second Adam" the Lord Jesus the only "begotten son" of God. Wasn't the first Adam just a created and not begotten precursor leading to the second Adam?
