I've just added the Net Bible to e-sword and was doing a quick comparison to other versions.  The Net Bible Rev 1.1 reads:

The revelation of Jesus Christ,1 which God gave him to show his servants2 what must happen very soon.3 He made it clear4 by sending his angel to his servant5 John,

The issue, of course, is the phrase "made it clear", as compared to "signified" in nost literal translations and interlinar Greek.  Net's footnote shows a L&N (Louw and Nida) reference.

Has anyone taken a hard look at the Net Bible?  Are any of their translations wothwhile?  I am thinking of removing it from e-sword.

i see your point there Steve

"made it clear" as a translation for the greek sēmainō seems dangerous to me.

for me the only thing that works these days is looking into all the original greek words, and even (God help me :)) looking at the greek original.

for example check this out for Lord of lords

κυριος2962 N-NSM  κυριων2962 N-GPM

now ages of the ages

αιωνας165 N-APM  των3588 T-GPM  αιωνων165 N-GPM  

i'm hoping to find a good clear online explanation of all the greek tenses and voices etc etc

i want to know what N-APM represents, is it noun aorist plural (or perfect) middle voice etc etc

but i need to stop guessing, thank God the spirit teaches comparing spiritual with spiritual or i'd be a complete mess :)

yea, i had that net bible and the translations were so bad i deleted it.

Go with rotherham, concordant, kjv and you're in there.

N-APM
Part of Speech: Noun
Case: Accusative
Number: Plural
Gender: Masculine

Those are called "Robinson's Morphological Analysis Codes"

You'll need to create an acount but everything is free. The module is called RMAC. They are very helpfull when doing indepth studies.

ahhhhhhh brilliant Deedle, i just got going on the RMAC, WOOHOO! just what i was hoping to find, it's like greek for the person whose life is too short to learn greek :)

Great!  thechan.com is where I found an Interlinear Greek NT and Rotherham.  

I picked up the RMAC,  But neither Strong's nor Thayer's gives these codes.  Is there an e-sword dictionary that does?
