Hi Brett,

He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; (Mat 13:37 KJV)

Also,

I wondered, as Son of God is the sower which mean it is God's will of which seeds go to wayside, rocks, weeds and good ground. Am I right?

That's right Bret :)

This explains why some have a greater understanding of the truth than others, while even others have none :)

God works everything according to his time and will.

Great question.

Love in Christ,

Hello Brett

In the trascripts of Ray's audios from How Hard is getting saved, this excerpt came up for me after reading your question.

here it is : If you know one parable, you know them all. If you spiritually understand the parable, that is, because there are some variations of them. Sometimes they give both sides of a situation, sometimes they only present one side of a situation. But it’s still the same parable. If you understand a parable you understand all parables, because it’s nothing but a repeat. Everything I gave you: believe in the Lord, call upon the name of the Lord, confess with your mouth, enter through the door, by grace through faith, be baptized etc. etc. etc. … it’s all the same command! Those are not 25 different things that we have to do! It’s all ONE! There are 39 parables recorded in the gospels, but there are only ONE! The Kingdom of God is like this or like that….it’s like a farmer, it’s like a fisherman, it’s like a guy hunting treasure, it’s like a woman putting leaven into a meal…it’s all the same parable! And you’ll find these theme, running not just through the parables, but running through the whole scriptures. I’ve just jotted down a handful here:

1. Many are called, few are chosen. Do you know what all the parables are about? All of them, every one of them. Do you know what they are about? Many are called, few of chosen. That’s what they are all about. Are you getting it?  Every parable is about many called, few chosen.

2. The Pharisee and the Tax Collector. Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and one a tax collector. And the one prayed inside of himself thus, “I thank you Lord that I’m not like one of those, dare I say it, this tax collector over here, this sinner, this piece of garbage. I fast twice a week, I tithe all that I have…and this and that…. That’s what every parable is about: the Pharisee and the tax collector! This is heavy stuff!

3. The Wise Virgins and the Foolish Virgins. Same thing.
4. The Lost Sheep and the 99
5. The Old Cloth on the New Cloth
6. The Wheat and the Tares
7. The Carnal Mind and the Mind of Christ
8. Judge Now, Judge Later
9. Physical Israel, Spiritual Israel
10. The First Adam, The Second Adam
11. Heart of Stone, Heart of Flesh
12. First the Shadow, Then the Reality
13. The True Gospel, Another Gospel
14. Image of the Earthly, Image of the Heavenly
15. The Tree of Good and Evil, Two: the Pharisee, the tax collector…You get it? The whole Bible!
16. Cain and Abel The Pharisee and the tax collector!
17. Some was sown in the good soil, and some was sown in the stony places
18. Seed of the Woman, Seed of Satan
19. Joseph and Joseph’s brothers
20. Sarah and Hagar
21. The Shadow and The Reality
22. The Law of Sin and Death, and the Law of the Spirit of Christ
23. The Rich Man and Poor Lazarus
24. The Faithful Servant, The Evil Servant
25. The Elder Son, The Prodigal Son
26. The Old Wine Skins, The New Wine Skins
27. The House on the Sand, The House on the Rock.  It’s all the same thing.
28. Eonian Chastisement, Eonian Life
29. First the Physical, Then the Spiritual
30. The Old Covenant, The New Covenant
31. The Carnal Law of Moses, The Spiritual Law of God
32. Physical Blessings, Spiritual Blessings
33. Temporary Blessings, Eternal Blessings
34. First Resurrection, Second Resurrection
35. The Image of Man, The Image of God

Are you getting it? It’s all ONE. God is ONE. His message is ONE. You just have to know what that ONE is. THE ONE IS JESUS CHRIST!  That’s the ONE. Because He’s the first Adam, and He’s the second Adam. But He’s only ONE.

And when we are given the spirit of God, the spirit of Christ…guess what…we become ONE! This is so easy..........

Peace to you

Arcturus :)

Something came up my mind. The question is:

God chose few (seeds) before the world was made (predestinated) are in good ground once but not yet grow because His time has not yet come. So, they (few in the good ground) who went through sins, Babylon, decieved by Satan, etc. are still in the good ground until God's time to give  them (few seeds in good ground) to grow so they able to see and insight of spiritual God's words and grow in characters of fruits.

Then the few (seeds) never once on the wayside, weeds, or rocks but good ground, because of God's predestinated. For example, Paul was in good ground but he was decieved by Satan until Jesus' appeared him was start grow from the same good ground.

Am I right? Hard question, isn't it? :-\

Perhaps the following Scripture will help you Brett.

The Parable of the Sower
Mat 13:3  And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;

Mat 13:4  And when he sowed, some [seeds] fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:

Mat 13:5  Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:

Mat 13:6  And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

Mat 13:7  And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

Mat 13:8  But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

Mat 13:9  Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

The Parable of the Sower Explained
Mat 13:18 ¶ Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.

Mat 13:19  When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth [it] not, then cometh the wicked [one], and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

Mat 13:20  But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;

Mat 13:21  Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

Mat 13:22  He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

Mat 13:23  But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth [it]; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

I think your anaolgy regarding Paul is correct. Because if Paul was not fruitful then who else was? :)

We can know who they are and from whence they came (good soild or stoney) by their fruits:

Mat 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

I hope this helps my brother,

Your brother in Christ,
Darren

Thank you, Darren.

Also, another scripture from Matt. 13:1-23 about only God who makes grow:

1 Cor 3:6-8 (GNT)
6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered the plant, but it was God who made the plant grow.
7 The one who plants and the one who waters really do not matter [neither they can make the seed grow]. It is God who matters, because He  (in His time) makes the plant grow.

Paul planted and Apollos watered the seed in the good ground, then the seed heard and rejoice while in the Babylon because God's time has not yet to makes seed grow. No one can makes the seed grow which mean to able removed the seed's spiritual blind and grow. When God's time is come, He will causes the seed grow and see the bright sunny (removed spiritual blind and to come out of her [Babylon]). So the seed would stun like Paul stunned after Jesus appeared because of never had percieve of God's words in spiritual way (just as the seed start grow by God about one fourth green plant from the ground) then the seed recieve more percieving of God's words and causes the seed grow more than one fourth just as 2 Peter 2:2-11.

2 Peter 1:2-11NKJV

2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,
3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add [grow in fruits in Matt. 7:16] to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,
6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness,
7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble;
11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

My language is lousy ::).

Brett :D

P.S. I wondered if Paul and Apollos planted and watered on the wayside, thorns, and yet God did not choose seeds before the world was made? I think so. Of course they planted and watered on the good ground as well.
