Title: Judaism and free will
Post by: Evan600 on May 14, 2007, 01:25:06 AM
I was watching this dvd called "Eastern Philosophy" a bit ago, and heard something.  They mentioned Judaism, and there was a Rabbi talking about the Talmud, and Jewish tradition.  He mentioned the doctrine of free will.  How men are given a choice to love God, or not.

I thought that perhaps there was a little more intelligence with Judaism vs. Orthodox Christianity, but apparently not.  This Rabbi even stated the common statement about being puppets on strings, and how that's not what God's about.  No Scripture for his belief, only tradition.  Total lack of understanding the sovereignty of God.

Seems that the roots of this fabled doctrine have been around since Moses, and probably before.  Just thought I'd share.
