Title: Hellbound?
Post by: lareli on April 30, 2015, 05:53:00 PM
There's a 2012 documentary on netflix that I watched a few months back, it's called "Hellbound?".

Has anyone on here seen it? What did you think? You can watch the 2 minute trailer on YouTube..

Yes.  I'd heard about it for quite a while--probably since it came out, but didn't happen upon it until a month or so ago.  It was certainly thought-provoking, which it seems to me was all it really intended to be.

I was just happy to see that the doctrines of eternal torture in hell are being challenged and discussed in the mainstream. It makes me excited to see that there's an underground movement creeping into the mainstream regarding the tradition hell doctrine..

Has anyone seen the 'downside up' uploads by Peter Heitt? I'll post one and if you have 5 minutes to watch, please tell me what you think.. Is it in line with what is taught here? I think so, but I'd like to hear from someone who's been on this forum longer than myself..

He has about 7 uploads to his YouTube channel. They're all quick and to the point. Kind of like the Hellbound? Documentary I think they're meant to spark an interest..

Peter Heitt?  Neeeeeeeeeever heard of 'em.  And I don't intend to start now.

The Truth will never catch on in this age.  Jesus said His Elect is only a small, chosen few.  Satan will not permit his mainstream, false churches to understand the Truth.

It is a total waste of time to try to bring true scriptural teachings to the many.

Jesus asked if upon His return, would He find any Faith on the earth?  Only among a small few with the Spirit of the Living God.

Hey John,

Do you think its possible that God will use these movies and people like Peter Heitt in a way similar to how He used Ray to teach truth?

Is there a scripture somewhere that talks about how, in the last days knowledge will increase? Could that be referring to true knowledge of God increasing throughout the world? I think true knowledge of God could be in all the earth and yet God still only allowing a superficial faith to grow in most.. Which would still make "will He find any faith on earth" scripture true.

I wonder how many millions or billions of people would leave the church if they knew the truth.. I would think that the church would call that the 'falling away' from the church that they believe is prophesied to occur in the end times.

Anyhow did you see Hellbound?

Regarding this Peter Heitt fellow, he has a church in Denver I believe. That in itself makes me not want to trust him as I see a modern American church as a place for someone to have control and authority over others.. But if you have 5 minutes you don't mind wasting I'd be curious to hear what you think about what he says regarding hell fire in that YouTube link. You've been feasting on the true meat of the word a lot longer than I have..

No, God is not using this Peter whoever or movies to teach truth.

God is not trying to save this world at this time.  God never trys.  He always does what he intends to do.  God is saving the Many in the age to come, after the return of the Great King.

As for what I think about his teaching in that YouTube link.  Never trust me or any man as to what we think.  Never trust anyone whose life may cease in their next breath.

Trust Almighty God and Him alone, as revealed through His Word in the Scriptures, and most importantly of all, by God through the Power of His Holy Spirit within your heart, if you are so blessed as to have been given this gift at this time.

or am I way off?

No you're not way off.

The gospel of the church is.. If you believe in Jesus you go to Heaven. If you don't believe in Jesus you go to Hell. That's the gospel of Christianity.

The true gospel is.. You're going to Heaven. Period. Everyone. Every Jew, Christian, Muslim, atheist.. Every Isis terrorist, every peodophile priest.. The ultimate destination for ALL is Heaven. ALL because of what Christ did on the cross.

Once the true gospel is preached to all nations, then we will be hated by the world because the true gospel will take away the power of all religion which is fear, and that includes the biggest religion of all, nationalism.

That's my 'Christian hippy' hope at least.

Actually the Scriptures don't teach that ANY person goes to heaven. It teaches that the righteous will NOT be removed from the earth. It teaches the tabernacle of God will descend from the heavens and dwell with man on the Earth. It teaches there will be a New Heaven and a New Earth. Etc.

Godspeed :)

There's a line in they 'hellbound?' Doc that goes something like...

"If you go out and buy a bible and never open it, you're a good Christian. If you open it, read a little of what it says and then proceed to tell people about it, you're a pious jerk.. But if you open it and actually study it, then you'll end up leaving the church.. "

People are coming out of her.
