Title: cherubim
Post by: dave on December 08, 2016, 03:36:30 PM
"That is why we find in I Kings 22:19 that the host (a huge number, a heavenly army of innumerable beings; ‘cherubim’ in Hebrew means, ‘AS-MANY’) of heaven is divided on God’s right side (the good) and His left side (the wicked)." LOF 1X

I not found "cherubim" to mean "as many" in Strong's or BDB or any other search, I understand the host part. Any help? Thanks

Micah, I'm pretty sure Ray meant that the "suffix" -im means "as many".

Here it is in a more easily accessible usage.

Gen 15:18  In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:
Gen 15:19  The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites,
Gen 15:20  And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims,
Gen 15:21  And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.

Of course, I could be wrong.

Seems to the answer. Thanks
