Do you remember the sixties?
I don't think Joe did.

Too funny!

Hi Fester,
I just now watched that, I don't know what was funnier the performance or the lyrics they put up. As I heard Ray say once, what a hoot ;D
mercy, peace and love

Hey Fester,
You went and got my memory traveling back 35-40 years, I thought of this bit from the old Saturday Night Live when John Belushi (with Joe Cocker's band) did this parody of him, they did this a few times actually, one episode was dubbed "Dualling Cockers"...... This one is Belushi performing "With a Little Help From My Friends"

Thanks for the memories,
Joe

The man's got soul, no doubt. Couldn't stream it completely on dialup, but had me cracking up. Haven't laughed so hard in a long time. Thanks!
The 60's were just a bit before my time. I'm the generation from the movie Dazed and Confused and the TV series The Wonder Years. There's a connection though...Joe Cocker sings this song as the Theme song from that TV show. I was exactly the age that Fred Savage's character played in that series. I remember almost all of it, though quite a bit I'd LIKE to forget.

Hahaha! ;D After watching that it make you ask the question, not does Joe Cocker remember the sixties, but did he SURVIVE the sixties!! :o Woo-Hoo! Too funny!! ;D
Kathy

Can't wait to see what you all guys are talking about. ???
I'm in the office I can't open (or I must not) the link. :-\
I will as soon as I get home. :)
-
If my memory still serves me right...was Joe Cocker the one who sing "You are so beautiful"? No?
-
I'm pretty sure you're right, Mike. Although I don't think he did that one quite like this. :D
-
Was he doped?! Haha ;D
-
He probably was doped and for those of you who don't know, it was and old Beatles song. Hey man, it was from my era.
We can laugh at it today (as I do now) but back then it was great. Just remember, those guys laid the foundation for
the music the youth of today are experiencing.
Bless you all
Stephen

He was beautiful though!! Judy

Oh believe me, I wasn't laughing at him. I was a fan then and still am. But those 'lyrics' are priceless. I'm sure we all have stories of misunderstanding song lyrics (especially back in those days). It's always funny when they get sorted out.

Joe Cocker do drugs!
Not a chance!
;)

Her is Joe some 32 years later, still has some of the same body language

Here you go, George. Have a ball.
-
Thanks Gina. Joe makes Mick Jagger look like Venus de Milo. :o
-
True! And both of them make the rest of us look like absolute GENIUSES!
Truth be told, rumor has it Joe has a very severe case of Parkinson's and actually had forgotten to take his medication that day.

Thanks Gina. Joe makes Mick Jagger look like Venus de Milo. :o
George, your eyes deceive you, I saw Mick Jagger at Bloemfontien South Africa soccer stadium yesterday. Joe looks good. Trust me. But I think, there is an age, if you are honest with yourself, where preforming on stage maby is a bad idea.

haha. Yes, performing rock 'n roll in your late sixties is definitely a "Fashion Don't!" :P
I remember I was so glad to learn that my favorite musicians wouldn't be frying in some eternal torture chamber. And, yet at the same time, I slowly became less and less enthralled with their "art." Putting away childish things, I guess.
This was a fun thread. Thanks, Uncle Fester! ;D
