Title: What is Jesus going to do when He comes back?
Post by: edpro on January 29, 2011, 01:35:38 AM
Ray mentioned that he would write about the subject of Jesus's return and what He is going to do. Does anyone have any info on that?
Thanks.

Hello Edward,

No, Ray has not written that paper yet. But has taught, throughout the Lake of Fire series (http://bible-truths.com), that Jesus is returning to Judge the World.

Hi Edward
It's amazing what you get from asking a simple question ah, I asked the similiar. ''No relation to what you asked'' I'm amazed.

Quote
Mr. Smith mentions this in the transcript "Does all mean all"
"He did not come for that purpose and this is going to open up a giant revelation when I come to this in my series about, when Christ comes, what is He coming back to do?  It’s not what is being taught.  It is not.  It is going to be something totally different."

I can't wait for this paper if it's already posted, can someone direct me to it!

Col 1:27
To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is CHIRST IN YOU, the hope of glory:

Christ comes “the second time” UNTO THEM THAT LOOK FOR HIM:

Heb 9:28
So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and UNTO THEM THAT LOOK FOR HIM THE SECOND TIME.

And it is WHEN HE IS COME that THE WORLD IS REPROVED of sin, of righteousness and of judgment:

Joh 16:7-16

Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And WHEN HE IS COME, HE WILL REPROVE THE WORLD OF SIN, and OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, and OF JUDGMENT: Of sin, BECAUSE THEY BELIEVE NOT ON ME; Of righteousness, BECAUSE I GO TO MY FATHER, AND YE SEE ME NO MORE; Of judgment, BECAUSE THE PRINCE OF THIS WORD IS JUDGED. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit WHEN HE, THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH, IS COME, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify ME: for he shall receive OF MINE, and shall shew it unto you. ALL THINGS THAT THE FATHER HATH ARE MINE: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and YE SHALL SEE ME, because I go to the Father.

Not to worry, Abednego.

If you're supposed to be resurrected with the elect and
If Lord Jesus returns tomorrow; you'll be ready. Ready or not, up you go.   ;D

WHAT TRASH...

Longhorn sent the King of Kings and Lord of Lords an invite, but wonders if He knowas what "RSVP" means...
mharrell08 says "carpenters aren't too bright" referring to the Saviour of the world...
Abednego thinks "this is a classic"...
Daywalker thinks: "now that's funny" referring to RSVP of or Lord and Saviour.

I think this thread is ****, and as Ray has written many times, careful what you write for you may eat those words.

Tell me, where in studying Ray's wisdoms from his site, you concluded this and have the guts/balls to call this humor?

I have been reading Ray's e-mails for quite sometime.
Why don't you point ONE example out from Ray wherein he blaspheme's the Lord with this pathetic attempt at "humor".
Give me the old physical gives way to spiritual line on this.
How about some chapter and verse?
Don't misunderstand. The Lord of Lords doesn't need me to be a messenger.
He will deal with you all.
This may be your one opportunity to repent?
What nonsense.

Your already attacking and insulting us? Earlier post from you djc56 have troubled me aswell.Your thoughts on adultery? meaning "race mixing"  That's a common "thought" among Christian and Jewish identity movements. So don't tell us what is NONSENSE.

I sort of wonder what Jesus is doing RIGHT NOW and until the end (maybe thousand more years)...what exactly does "seated at the right hand of God" mean

He can't be just sitting

Scripture can sure be vague sometimes

Working all things according to the counsel of His Will [Eph 1:11], Having the entire universe consist in Him [Col 1:17], Abiding in His disciples [John 14:23], etc.

Basically doing a mighty work in all things is the best way I could put it.

To my knowledge, "seated at the right hand of God" symbolizes Christ's position as pertains to His power, authority and leadership. Joseph was the 'right hand man' of the Pharaoh of Egypt. Mordecai was the 'right hand man' of King Ahasuerus of the Persian Empire (book of Esther). Jesus has authority over all of His Father's creation. Only the Father Himself has authority over Jesus.

Hope this helps.

Hello Gina. Marques and Christopher gave great answers. Here is something to add, if you will.

Rev 3:21  To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

To be seated with God is to overcome the pulls of the flesh and all that the flesh has to offer. Jesus the Christ has shown us the way through His Word on how to succeed by way of Spirit and Truth. He is now seated at the right hand of God because He overcame that flesh.

The right hand is the symbol of power throughout scripture.

Exo 15:6  Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.

Mat 26:62  And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?
Mat 26:63  But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.
Mat 26:64  Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Mar 14:61  But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
Mar 14:62  And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

And righteousness.

Psa 48:10  According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.

Isa 41:10  Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Hope this helps some.

Peace...Mark

Hi Gena,

Just a few thoughts to add to what the others are saying.
The right hand is usually the stronger of the two. It has traditionally been held out as a symbol of friendship and trust. The right hand side is also the position of honor.

Mat 28:18  And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority is given to Me in Heaven and in earth.

Jesus Christ received and holds this highest position of dignity, honor and glory possible under the Father. There is only one right hand position of the Father and Christ is given this position that is exalted above all else with great power and glory. He is 'seated' on the throne with His Father, this is a symbol of holding an elevated place of authority, indeed the most elevated place there is, under the Father.

Rev 3:21  To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame and have sat down with My Father in His throne.

mercy, peace and love
Kat

I sort of wonder what Jesus is doing RIGHT NOW

He's preparing "a place" for us

John 14:2   In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

John 14:3   And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

but of course it's not a a geographical location in outer space  ;D

John 14:23   Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. [kjv]
Jesus said to him in answer, If anyone has love for me, he will keep my words: and he will be dear to my Father; and we will come to him and make our living-place with him. [bbe]

hope this helps  :)
