Title: Your Favorite Music?
Post by: ML on July 17, 2018, 01:55:00 AM
To start off, I'll list a couple that I like a lot. This is probably going to be really unorthodox to most of you, but hope you like it nevertheless.

The first 2 here I just found recently, but really enjoyed them.
Jeff Pearce - With Evening Above
Jeff Pearce - A Closed Circle
Jeff Pearce - Gathering Stars

This whole album I pretty much like, minus a 2 or 3. Drop is my favorite song from them.
Heron - (album) You Are Here Now

Any others? I do have more, but I'll hold off from some for now, as most of you seem a bit too "old" for some of my tastes. And no, I am not referring to "explicit" songs, or heavy metal. I usually prefer vocal less songs, as I let the sound speak for itself.

Too old, ya say sonny?  My mom would like these.   ;D ;D

There is no music I don't like at least a little at least for a little while.  But I mostly like singer-songwriter stuff.

No songs you don't like, Dave? OH REALLY? Does this include children's animal rhymes?  ;D ;D

I've heard 40 year olds being called elderly, so I am sure some here can relate to that.

I especially like ambient music for looking at the sky, and at a night sky and observing the stars. Anyone else?

One day I was feeling pretty bad, crying and praying God to put some peace in my heart.
I was feeling very lonely and told Our Father that I would like so much to be in His arms right now, of course I was thinking about physical arms, being cuddled loke a baby.
To calm myself I decided to put some music. I use Deezer, for it allows me to listen hazardously songs when I don’t want to « choose ».
And this time I fell on this one:
https://youtu.be/lMcMAsNXfiw
I didn’t even know the artist. Never heard of him.
I cried listening to the song, but this time it was joy and wonder that brought my tears!
And I have learned now that God is ALWAYS cuddling us, in spirit through Christ.

Michelle thank you! The song is wondeeful.

I'll throw one into the mix, from Sara Groves, singer songwriter.

Thanks for the song Wanda! Especially liked the Violin(though I wish it was used more.)

And, along with Wanda, thanks for the song Michelle! Very nice. It is also interesting to think about "tears of Joy." Tears are usually associated with sadness, are they not? I have experienced it myself at times, but it seems funny at times. "Why am I crying, if I am not sad?" Maybe longing from His Spirit in us?

Just another thing to share, I could be active with even the most relaxing music! It sounds a bit strange, but even with some songs I shared above I could probably do that.

LOVELY VIOLIN! Admittingly, some of the instruments sounded "cheesy" to me at times, but overall it was really enjoyable.

A couple more:
Hammock - Clinging
Hammock In the middle of this nowhere
Diatonis - Ocean of Mercy (Not expecting anyone else here to like this one, but found it a couple years ago and still enjoy it. From 2003 album Landscape of a Dream)

I suggest using Spotify too, as it is easier to find some of these songs on there. Especially the third one I listed.

Thanks for the additional music ML.

My sound is out on my laptop, so I am listening to music on my phone. It all sounds a bit cheesy.

What are your favorite instruments? We both already like the violin, but are there any others?

Piano, Cello, Saxophone, Guitar, Harmonica. Those are the ones I enjoy solo. I like most string instruments, as well as wind too.

I love me some Blues  ;D

Yep, I like all those instruments too! Well, except the harmonica  ;)

Especially with guitar, I like some ambient effects on it. You may have heard some of it already, and I'll give more later that has it. "Computer generated" sounds I like too. Not all of them, but some.

Blues is too boring for me, but I like some Jazz! Although, that is a recent interest, so not too familiar with the genre.

I like to listen to some jazz while looking by my window at the swallows making a choregraphy « for me ». Very exhilarating 😊
There are a lot of swallows flying nearby my apartment, tweeting and dancing in the sky (I thank them for there are less mosquitos in my home, thanks God 😅)
It reminds me of this verse:
Isaiah 38:14: « Like a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter: I did mourn as a dove: mine eyes fail with looking upward: O LORD, I am oppressed; undertake for me. »

i am like dave, a fan of most.  to me, music is one of the many gifts God has placed in His creation.

the first time i heard this, i wept uncontrollably: https://youtu.be/7mpxuR9nXE0

yet another that brings me to tears: https://youtu.be/CEvsDuJYEnI

then there is this jazz trio.  they used to play thursday nights at a bbq joint near me.  i got a chance to see them a dozen times, or so.  all three of them are world class jazz musicians. the drummer considered one of the best in the business.  i was five feet from the piano player the night this was filmed, and could be heard in the background: https://youtu.be/Cdv3noFdVbI

and finally, although in no way a full representation of the music i enjoy, i post this group from chile: https://youtu.be/mFSRCG4DrmI

Speaking of birds, around where I live there are mainly crows, magpies, and pigeons. There are some power lines that a couple of them just sit on for an hour or 2, and a couple times there were about 5 or 6 crows that flew up on a very small section. On even rarer occasions there are some doves and seagulls that fly around, and a bald eagle whom I've seen about 3 times.

About a month ago, there where a couple birds that kept circling in the air above me. Not sure the name of them, but it was a cool sight. Another was when about 50-100 crows flew up in one of the very big trees around here. I have a couple bird books(1 I got fairly recently, the other 2 my parents had for a long time and just gave it to me.) Cannot say I am a professional birder, but observing birds can be pretty cool. If I ever travel, I would like to especially see those tiny owls. Forget the name of them though.

Thanks for your contributions yello! A bit of veriety there, so that's nice. Speaking of the Jazz trio you mentioned, where are they now? Still play sometimes around where you live?

ml, i don’t think so.  last i read, joe (the piano player) was traveling somewhere out of the states, and khari (the drummer) was touring with george benson.

That sucks. Have you traveled to any of the other guys' tourings since then? Does another group play jazz in that place since that trio doesn't play there anymore?

there is live music at this joint six nights a week.  rather than traditional jazz on thursday’s, they are doing latin jazz.  i have been dealing with significant health problems the past two years, so, no, i have not been able to see any other trios.

Great music! Thank you all for those discoveries!
I like all kinds of music 🎶 since it brings emotions.
Currently I’m fond of Scottish sounds! And the swallows make great choregraphies about it 😂

Coming back to birds ML, I’m sure you know this little Pixar cartoon which I find so funny:
https://youtu.be/WjoDEQqyTig

Ever since I believe God is the creator of the earth through Christ I just keep on marveling about nature 🤩, when I used to consider, before God entered my life, trees like rocks.. well, I wasn’t even interested in noticing trees around me 😕
Now I can laugh alone when waiting my train just looking at pigeons interact with each other (pigeons also have a great sense of humour 🙃) or feeling emotional looking at little beautiful flowers growing in the midst of railroads...

As I am typing this, I can hear some chickadees  ;D

I feel the sane way! I used to take creation for granted, but ever since coming to these truths, I marvel at (almost) everything around me. Mosquito's are an exception.  ;)

If only we could understand what animals were saying. Probably laugh at us for not being as smart as them. Enjoyed the link too. It was pretty funny.

Have you ever seen starlings? I haven't in person, but seen a couple videos of them. Those are one of my favorite birds from God. :D

Has your health gotten a bit better since then? Just remember, that these things are fiery trials. Not to bring pain for the sake of it, but to use suffering to perfect us, to bring us closer into His image. For I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12
9And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

ml, i appreciate the encouragement.  no, they have continued to get worse.  i am currently posting from a hospital room.  i was admitted sunday, as one of the growing list of issues is out of control.  no need to fret, though.  i see this whole experience of deterioration as The Father turning the soil that is my experience of living, in preparation to plant and grow more of what He has declared for me.  it is painful, to be certain, but i have been given awareness and great confidence that this is 1) from Him, and 2) part of His will for me.

Matthew 6
24‘None is able to serve two lords, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will hold to the one, and despise the other; ye are not able to serve God and Mammon.
25‘Because of this I say to you, be not anxious for your life, what ye may eat, and what ye may drink, nor for your body, what ye may put on. Is not the life more than the nourishment, and the body than the clothing?
26look to the fowls of the heaven, for they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather into storehouses, and your heavenly Father doth nourish them; are not ye much better than they?
27‘And who of you, being anxious, is able to add to his age one cubit?
28and about clothing why are ye anxious? consider well the lilies of the field; how do they grow? they do not labour, nor do they spin;
29and I say to you, that not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed as one of these.
30‘And if the herb of the field, that to-day is, and to-morrow is cast to the furnace, God doth so clothe — not much more you, O ye of little faith?
31therefore ye may not be anxious, saying, What may we eat? or, What may we drink? or, What may we put round?
32for all these do the nations seek for, for your heavenly Father doth know that ye have need of all these;
33but seek ye first the reign of God and His righteousness, and all these shall be added to you.
34Be not therefore anxious for the morrow, for the morrow shall be anxious for its own things; sufficient for the day [is] the evil of it.

This whole passage is great, but bolded the parts for relevancy. I am not perfect at this myself, as sometimes I fret over the evils and worries of this life. By His Grace, though, that has been decreasing.

Have you been staying in a bed there? I'll pray for you. If it be God's Will, you will be healed. Either way, have comfort that His will is ALWAYS done.

Be blessed.

Tony, Ive never personally suffered with health issues, but I have experienced the suffering of loved ones.

You are never out of our holy fathers mind, for his love for you is greater than anything the human mind can conceive. He knew you before you came to be and he purposed nothing but what is good and righteous for you. He will draw you close, strengthen and comfort you no matter how dark things may be in your life.

Never forget how precious you are and how much you are loved.

Luke 12:7

7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Psalm 56:8

8 You keep track of all my sorrows.[a]
You have collected all my tears in your bottle.
You have recorded each one in your book.

Psalms 139: 13-17

13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts, God!

thank you wanda, she has a beautiful voice.

i appreciate everyone’s encouragement, i truly do.  i have to be honest with everyone, my life has been one of significant difficulty of one kind or another.  i was given awareness of The Father’s “involvement” in my personal affairs at a young age.  i have struggled and wrestled mightily since that time to understand what He is doing.  He granted me growing understanding and acceptance long before i stumbled across ray’s writings and those of other organizations that teach the salvation of all.  He had prepped me for this introduction.  the first 38 years of my life, He brought me to a certain point.  again, the tools He used were quite painful.  He granted me two to three years of freedom from struggles, and then put me back in an increasingly hotter, and hotter fire.  that process has been the past sixteen years.   i have been hit on all sides by difficulty.  not just difficulty, i have been pressed like a bunch of grapes in a wine press.  and just like those grapes that are crushed, He is creating a fine bottle of wine out of me.

i have had people ridicule me because of my stance on many things (the absolute sovereign nature of God” being one of them), but through all of this, the understanding, belief, faith, and all that He has planted in me, have grown.  within the past two years, He has planted a peace that cannot be explained.  it is material, it is palpable, it is substantive.

again, i appreciate the thoughts and prayers, and will ask for them continuosly.  as for the need to be encouraged, or reminded of the incredible gift we’ve been given?   He’s got this, trust!

The Father’s grace on you all today.  i do hope that i did not offend by my last posting in this thread.  it was not intended to be anything more than a little more information about me.

No worries, Tony. You didnt offend me at least(I highly doubt anyone either.)

Beautiful guitar! I really like the person who kept coughing too. Really added to the performance  :D

And to that, I will add this piece of music
David Helping - (album) A Sea without Memory

This is ambient guitar, and one of my favorites. These are pretty long(Not toooo long in my opinion, I prefer longer to shorter songs. I know of an 8 HOUR song, so I'll give it here if anyone is interested)

For an even better listening experience, get a podcast app, and look up episode 1188 of Ultima Thule Ambient. This episode they had the album I mentioned, and a couple other songs from another artist I mentioned in this thread. 1 hour 30 minutes long, but it flows really nice for me to listen to, instead of individually to each song. I don't even have to buy the music this way either!

Good day Tony!

There is nothing to be offended by. I think in our haste to comfort you, we came on a bit strong. I did that a lot when my sister was suffering, and she let me know about it too. ;)

Interesting choice of music. I was listening to solo guitar performances yesterday, and came across this one. I was going to share it with you  :)

ML, I was so captivated by the music I never heard the cough.

Opened my bible « by chance »(as I always like to do, for I consider God decides what I need to read) and here’s what I read:
Isaiah 40:28-31: « 28 Do you not know?
    Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
    and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint. »

amen to those words, michelle.  i have found them increasingly truer in my experience.  i have said to others, i am in pain, and i do not like it, but, within that, The Father is growing something in me that provides a strength that i do not have.  it is His, and it is truly awesome to experience.
Title: Re: Your Favorite Music?

I know what you mean Tony.

Michelle, the Lord leads me to specific scriptures everyday too. I believe he's talking to me, because it's always the perfect thing I need.  Now I look forward to what he will be saying tomorrow.

28 Have you never heard?

Have you never understood?  I can honestly say I never completely  understood the power contained in these words, until I experienced the fullness of them in my life.

For me, Isaiah  paints this vivid picture of someone, who has given all they can. They are physically, spiritually, and emotionally drained in every way, and in their desperation, the Lord intercedes by giving them a supernatural strength.  It's  a strength that comes from outside us...beyond us...underneath us.

The point: It’s not us. It's not natural. It's the supernatural updraft of divine grace. We become like an eagle, soaring effortlessly on an updraft.  At least it was like that for me. Not something you're ever likely to dismiss IMO.

Wanda,
Our Holy Father has led me to read Zacharias 9 tonight! What an absolute wonder!
I love it when He opens my eyes and ears to His magnificent Word.
This is an astonishing prophecy when you really pay attention to the words, I translated every hebrew word and what a discover it was! What a treasure! I love Our Father so much for giving us soooo much love!
The funny thing is that I ended up reading this chapter because I was meditating about donkeys in the bible, starting with this question: why Jesus choose a female donkey and her colt? I prayed for God to answer me, and He always answer, in the most beautiful manner!
Zacharias 9 is HUGE! I never realized that before tonight: God talks to us clearly and simply about His plans towards those He brought to Him through His Son Jesus. What a revelation, I feel a bit dizzy, like I had a full wineskin to drink!
God gave us the most beautiful advice through Ray: PAY ATTENTION TO ALL THE WORDS
And it is so true that my joy tonight is reasonating in my heart like a symphony!
I think I won’t be able to sleep tonight for God has awaken me in the most brilliant way, as radiant as the summer sun, as bright as Jesus Christ the Light of our lives!
Just needed to share it 😆
Ps: Donkeys are the keys 🗝 🎼 🚪🎺

Michele, Awe inspiring! ;D

I know that giddy feeling, better than any wine I ever tasted.

Let your light continue to shine bright among us Sister!

Matthew 5:14-16 New International Version (NIV)

14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Michelle, that's great!

Since both of you mentioned light, wanted to give this passage:

1 Thessalonians 5
1And concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need of my writing to you,
2for yourselves have known thoroughly that the day of the Lord as a thief in the night doth so come,
3for when they may say, Peace and surety, then sudden destruction doth stand by them, as the travail [doth] her who is with child, and they shall not escape;
4and ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day may catch you as a thief;
5all ye are sons of light, and sons of day; we are not of night, nor of darkness,
6so, then, we may not sleep as also the others, but watch and be sober,
7for those sleeping, by night do sleep, and those making themselves drunk, by night are drunken,
8and we, being of the day — let us be sober, putting on a breastplate of faith and love, and an helmet — a hope of salvation,
9because God did not appoint us to anger, but to the acquiring of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
10who did die for us, that whether we wake — whether we sleep — together with him we may live;

11wherefore, comfort ye one another, and build ye up, one the one, as also ye do.
12And we ask you, brethren, to know those labouring among you, and leading you in the Lord, and admonishing you,
13and to esteem them very abundantly in love, because of their work; be at peace among yourselves

Lovely songs too Wanda(and Pamela!) Just wondering, how did they get a piano that size over there? Must weigh a ton!

ML, I found Nils Frahm on YT. His music, exudes a huge range of emotion, and the piano he plays is an extraordinary work of art. I've never seen anything like it.

I forget when I found Nils Frahm, but I must admit that he is very talented.

Oh yes, I saw the thumbnail of the video you're describing. I was thinking that it was a green screen at one point, but it seems too realistic for that.

Did you listen to Hidden Orchestra, at least the one I mentioned? It's fine if you didn't like it, just wondering. I consider that to be their best work, despite what Spotify top 10 says  :)

There is a noticeable Jazz influence in their style, among other genres. Their biography was mentioning how many different artists have "guest appearances" to play. It is more of a "pseudo orchestra" if you will, as they play different instruments separately, then are combined in studio.

Hidden Orchestra’s Overture is beautiful ☀️
And I also appreciate Nils Frahm, especially « Forever Changeless », I discovered it via Deezer, beautiful ✨
As to Ólafur Arnalds « 0952 », what a touching song and the video is beautiful 💫
What a great way to wake up before going to work 😊

Great song, thanks Wanda!
yes Asgeir is very talented, such a beautiful voice! And his songs lyrics are great 🎶 🎵

I found on the forum an information quite interesting about donkeys: they are often used to guard herds of sheeps and protect them from wolves, coyotes or stray dogs!! Because they always get attached to the sheeps. Isn’t it wonderful?

One other thing: Under the law of Moses, the firstborn of cattle and sheep were offered to God, but a donkey was redeemed with the sacrifice of a lamb (Exodus 34:19-20).
If a donkey was not redeemed by a lamb, the donkey was not allowed to live.
Well I can see also the redemption through Christ!

Sorry, I’ve always like donkeys and now I see them as holy instrument used by God for our instruction 😃
And if Ray hadn’t insisted with his « pay attention to the words » I would have only seen the material/physical side of donkeys not the profound one ☝️

Title: Re: Your Favorite Music?
Post by: Wanda on July 20, 2018, 05:08:32 PM
I did research about the significance of donkeys in the bible a few years ago, but my findings are much more than I could post here.

I'm including just a small bit of what I gleaned from it all.

The most unforgettable Bible donkey event was when the Lord Jesus Christ rode a donkey colt through the city of Jerusalem.  This donkey ride had been prophesied for hundreds of years before the actual event. "Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an a@@, and upon a colt the foal of an a@@" (Zechariah 9:9).

In following Christ's example, when serving the Lord, our focus should be on obeying Him with lowliness and humility.  Thinking of the Christ riding a donkey, as Christians, our aim should not be to capitulate to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life (1 John 2:16).  "The world passeth away, and the lust thereof; but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever" (1 John 2:17).

Donkeys in the Bible and today—as an animal, they have served us well.   May we be like Christ's donkey, willing and set aside, patiently  and humbly waiting for our Master's touch,  that we may fulfill the tasks the Lord has ordained for us to accomplish.

The donkey is a reliable and humble helper, just as our Lord and Savior is to us.

Jesus rode a colt which no one had ridden.
I found on a website that it was a real miracle for He was riding the colt in the middle of a noisy multitude! The colt stayed calm, never got rebellious...
Matthew 21:2 speaks about a female donkey with the colt.
Now Zecharias 9:9 mentions a female donkey, a colt and a male donkey.

Translations in Hebrew for the female donkey is ATHOWN (Strong 0860) and it would probably come from the Hebrew word EYTHAN (Strong 0386) which means perpetual, constant, permanent, strong, mighty. The plural of this word is EYTHANIYM (Strong 0388), its litteral translation is « constant rains » and it is also the 7th jewish month which corresponds to October-November because of frequent rains during this season.

Translation in Hebrew for the colt is AYIR (Strong 05895) it comes, in the sense of raising (i.e. bearing a burden), from the Hebrew word ‘UWR (Strong 05782) which means to wake (stir, lift..)up, awake, wake, raise, arise. This word is rather identical, through the idea of opening the eyes, with ‘UWR (05783): to be bare, naked.

Translation in Hebrew for the male donkey is CHAMOWR which comes from CHAMAR (Strong 02560): to boil up; hence, to ferment (with scum); to glow (with redness); troubled, daub, foul.

Translation in Hebrew for the wild donkey is PERE’ (Strong 06501). In  the sene of running wild, the onager, it comes from PARA’ (Strong 06500): to bear fruit, fruitful.

The donkey is the second animal (the first one was the serpent talking to Eve) to whom God gave the ability to talk in the Bible (with Balaam in Numbers 22:21-33).

Abraham uses a donkey to load wood for the sacrifice of Isaac.
Joseph’s brothers come to Egypt with donkeys.
Samson uses a donkey’s jawbone against the Philistines: Judges 15-16: « Finding a fresh jawbone of a donkey, he grabbed it and struck down a thousand men. Then Samson said, "With a donkey's jawbone I have made donkeys of them. With a donkey's jawbone I have killed a thousand men."

It seems like donkeys are used in essential events in the Bible.
And the most important one: Jesus entering Jerusalem on a colt that was TIED OUTSIDE, NEAR A DOOR, IN THE STREET, whom no one has ever ridden and Jesus commands the apostles to LOOSE him and the female donkey to BRING THEM UNTO HIM!

Genesis 49:11-12:
« 11 He will tether his donkey to a vine,
    his colt to the choicest branch;
he will wash his garments in wine,
his robes in the blood of grapes.
12 His eyes will be darker than wine,
his teeth whiter than milk. »

Thanks Michelle!

And to add to that, donkeys represent peace and horses represent war.

In ancient times leaders rode horses if they rode to war, but donkeys if they came in peace.

How befitting that the prince of peace would ride into Jerusalem on a donkey.

It's all so magificantly orchestrated Michelle. Which fits right in with our original discussion of music. I've often wondered what kind of musical sounds the universe must produce.

With God as the composer and orchastrator it would be music more beautiful than we could ever imagin.

Interesting theory of what mankind has imagined to be real, but it requires acceptance of the unproven "big bang" theory of Stephen Hawking and even then accounts for less than 1% of detected static noise and of the "steady state" theory as well.

It is the province of kings, mankind, to seek knowledge and discover secrets of nature.
That is the way God designed us and it can be fun and challenging as long as we are honest.

"Many scientists today think that the big bang model is very successful in that it can explain all sorts of new observations and problems. But it does this by the endless addition of rescuing devices. If a scientific theory can be freely amended to account for any new challenges, then can the theory ever be proved wrong? In science it’s important that an idea be able to be proved wrong, at least hypothetically. A theory that can explain anything and everything, no matter how contradictory, really isn’t science."

ML, that video I linked to is of poor quality, but I couldn't find a better one. There are many others on youtube if you do a search, but most focus more on specific scientific studies in one area.

This is an audio interview of Revolutionary Discoveries of Water, you might find interesting.

https://youtu.be/py4uzBDyV2U

To know much of our water that's available to us is sick, and some cases dead, is disconcerting to me. Every living thing in creation has been sickened. It reminds me of a post from Tennessee.Dave.

He made a point,  that if we would replace the word salvation with the word heal or healing, when reading scripture, we might have a better understanding of it's meaning.

Title: Re: Your Favorite Music?
Post by: ML on July 21, 2018, 04:10:34 PM
Actually, Wanda, we all know the best word to replace salvation is Rapture. Because we all know how Biblical that is!

I found that link on this forum actually, from a pretty old post, so I am unsure where a better video is.

I watched some of it. Right away, they started talking about consciousness in water and the universe. I was thinking "Well, must have been due to blind chance and randomness, right? Water formed you in your mothers womb, right?" Oh, and how the guy "saw" a UFO. Maybe he actually did, but most likely a giant bird, or something demonic.

In relation to music, would water "sing" too? We discussed the singing of stars and planets, but what else would this include? Water would be pretty interesting, seeing as most things in this universe are made up of H2O.

😅 thanks Wanda! So much for my new passion for donkeys!

You’re right Bob, we don’t know anything except one tiny little part of what God allows us to know for the moment. God reminds it brighfully in Job 38.
The universe is nothing but an infinitesimal part of who God is.
In any case, the majority of scientists agrees on the fact that there has to be a beginning. And the big bang, this bursting of light is the theory most appreciated. I like to think about it when I read Genesis 1 « Let there be light ». Also when I read Proverbs 8 and imagine that this first little grain of dust could be the hydrogen atom from which so many elements of the world find there origins.
I read a while ago that the Universe started with High temperature, very hot but then the temperature started to decrease creating all the natural and physical laws and forces that govern the universe, like the gravity. But there is an interesting theory that says if the temperature increases again then all those forces should reunite, gather together as one superforce.
Heat and light that results from it create unity. Coldness and darkness separate.
I hope the big bang will be legitimate one day. Like the very flash of heat and light of God being All in All. But for now I admit it’s only theory and hope.

That was fine sharing some music, though I pray Our Father in Christ to keep this in mind: these are songs written by citizens of the world, even if God causes everything, when we are to be citizens of heavens, which are inspired only by the Spirit of Christ and praise God with new song no one has ever sing.

Matthew 24:4-5 « And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. »

Matthew 24:23 « Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not »

John 10:2-5 « The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.”

John 14:6 « Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me »

Revelation 14:2-3 « And I heard a voice from heaven like the roar of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder. The voice I heard was like the sound of harpists playing on their harps, and they were singing a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and before the elders. No one could learn that song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. »

Thankyou Michelle , those scriptures melt my heart. His sheep follow Him because they know His voice.😔

Matt 4:18. A’s Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and His brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fisherman.19
“Come, follow me” Jesus said “ and I will send you out to fish for people” 20 At once they left their nets and followed Him.
21 Going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James, son of Zebedee, preparing their nets
, Jesus called them, 22 and immediately they left the boat and their father  and followed Him
Matthew 5:1
Now when Jesus saw the crowds, He went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to Him 2 and He began to teach them.
Matthew 9:9
As Jesus went on from there, He saw a man named Matthew, sitting at the tax collectors booth.
“Follow me,” He told him and Matthew got up and followed Him.
Matt 10:22
“You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.”
Matt 10:26 So do not be afraid of them, for their is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed,
or hidden that will not be made known.

Matt.12:18-21
“Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on Him and He will proclaim justice to the nations.
He will not quarrel or cry out; no one will hear His voice in the streets. A bruised reed He will not
break, and a smouldering wick He will not snuff out, till He has brought justice through to victory.
In His name the nations will put their hope.”

This is all so amazing.

2 Corth.6:18
“And,

“ I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters,” says the
LORD ALMIGHTY

Did you hear Him say “ Follow Me”?

Thank you for the verses guys(girls?) Amen.

From my apps verse of the day, I like the whole passage:

Psalm 32 KJV

1Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
2Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
3When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.
4For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.
5I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
6For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.
7Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.
8I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
9Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.
10Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about.
11Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

Thanks everyone for the music and especially the scriptures, because they are true music to my ears.

Psalms Chapter 40

1 (To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.) I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, [and] established my goings.
3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, [even] praise unto our God: many shall see [it], and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

Ah, yes He did!

Funny you mention that. Right now I am listening to the Nashville conference, and just heard Ray go over that. Very fascinating to me.

You know what, I just remembered something I watched a couple years ago. There was a guy who was preaching on this passage, and before this he had a very bad voice problem for many years.

Well, as soon as he said the word "pit" his voice started to heal. It was truly miraculous. If I remembered the video I would give it to you.

Here is another one. If you don't have good speakers or earphones, it won't be as enjoyable. Mainly for bass, and not the guitar kind 😁

We heard the lonely call of the loon when we went camping this week. My husband and his friend
rescued one from a fisherman’s net on The Great Slave Lake when we lived in the Northwest
Territories. He said that it’s neck was so strong it felt like a thick branch yet very flexible.
After they freed it , it followed them for about twenty minutes.
 They have red eyes.

Red eyes? Did they watch too much football or something? 🙃

417.3 - 15 (the best overall)
417.3 - 53
417.3 - > (Starting at 7:30 is my favorite part, but I enjoy all of it)

These take patience to listen to. Well, 99% of my recommended songs do, but these ones too. A bit darker too, but still some nice melody.

Thanks Wanda
I’m all in for a cool change.😁 I love being near water, lived near  oceans and lakes all my life.
Growing up in Newfoundland,I lived on the side of a mountain overlooking the ocean. I guess people would pay big bucks for that nowadays. I am twenty minutes from the ocean here in Nova Scotia. Our creator had given me beautiful places to live and I didn’t even appreciate it until
He opened my eyes. I am so grateful for everything.
I was watching The Voice, from the Ukraine. They have beautiful music there.
Anyway, there was this one young lady , Elena something, just 14 years old singing a song
called 1944. It sent shivers through me . The song is about the forced migration and genocide
of the Tartars in 1944. What made it special was Elena’s grandparents were in the audience
with tears. She lived with them because her mom died. I got to thinking about history and
all of the people who went through so much horror, especially children. It’s heartbreaking. But
Knowing that our loving Father will raise them from their graves gives me great joy. Our God
in all His Glory.,,,, In Christ, Pamela❤️

Here is a what you would call "tribal" song. Man I have a different taste  :o

Steve Roach - Year of the Horse

Especially for the cultural significance of this kind of music, I just focus on the music itself. I must admit, the artwork for this album is weird.

Hey ML,

Isn't this song talking to us all? I mean, a friend who could be able to see what you truely are Inside, no matter what flaws you could have demonstrate to him/her at all?
I know the artist is part of this tortuous world, but, hey, we all know, God creates good and evil for our admonition, isn't it? And I kinda like this song for it wakes up Inside of me this hope that one day someone, anyone, will be able to see Inside of us, not only the fails and error, like human judgement can so easily prove (I mean judging FOR EVER, and not once and for all, like God does), but above all, and only, the treasure Inside ourselves, like only God is able to.

Taking the "Gangsta/Gang Banger" out, and repacing it with the Love and truth of God's purpose for mankind, is an excellent example of how God takes something meant for evil, and uses it for his good. I very much enjoyed this share, as well as his testimony. Thanks!☺

Whether it is rap music or not:" “Do not stop him,” Jesus said. “For no one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, 40 for whoever is not against us is for us." (Mark 9:39-40)
