I hooked up my iMac to my Samsung led flatscreen TV the other day using the HDMI (or whatever the heck it is) cable and an extender cable, so that I can use my TV for my monitor instead of my smaller monitor on my Mac. Now, when I use the TV as a monitor, and only when I'm using it in the monitor mode (not when I'm watching TV), I get a striped pink color in the fillable spaces; like in this very space I'm typing this message in now, the Google search bar and the browser bar.
It bugs. I've tried youtubing it and googling the issue -- nothing.
(This is not a blonde joke - this is for real.)

Not sure what the problem would be. I hooked up my computer which is a Acer Aspire desktop to a samsung TV. I have to switch my computer to the right mode and then the TV to the right mode but has no problems. I had to get a certain type of cable which is quite thick (HDMI to HDMI 1080p Male to Male Cable V1.3). I think I plugged it into the wrong slot at first but once it was in the right places it's all good. I only have that one cable between the computer and TV. That's all I can add, hopefully others will have some advice or you might need to get a tech person in.
Bless you

Thanks for the info.

Most of the pink goes away as my TV warms up apparently. It's pretty much gone now.

Excellent. Pink's a nice colour anyway. Well I think so.
