Title: Answered prayers
Post by: EKnight on April 01, 2009, 09:19:33 PM
A little girl told her dad she was going to pray for a thousand dollars.  The dad told her God would not answer that prayer. The next day the dad said "see, I told you God would not answer that prayer for a thousand dollars" the little girl said "yes He did" and the dad said "but you don't have a thousand dollars so He didn't answer your prayer" she said "Yes He did, He said NO!"

My mom just told me that.

Maybe it's too early for me but I don't get the joke?  Can someone break it down for me so I can be embarrassed at how brain dead I am in the morning.

Her prayer for a thousand dollars was answered.  The answer was NO

The trick to accepting god's many nos is to be utterly spiteful.  Every time you get the wrong answer just free will yourself to believe that you wanted it that way.  Just say:

Ha god, I never wanted all of that money any way.  Fooled ya god, see, I hate expensive cars.  My 2001 Ford Focus is perfect.  Ha ha god, I think that super model is ugly and don't care if she won't have anything to do with me.  Besides, I think shes a bi. . . .oh yeah, I forgot what forum I was on.
