Title: Homer Predicts The Rapture

The sad part is, Christians actually believe in The Rapture. I remember Andrea [who was a member here long ago] and how he even refused to read Ray's Rapture paper, and he also believed people are predestinated for hell and there's nothing they can do about it.

Sorin,

The rapture was the hardest thing to swallow when I was in mainstream Christainity.  And it was the easiest doctrine to let go.

Heaven can't be heaven if your loved ones aren't with you!!!  Especially if you thought they were in a torture pit of hell!!

I had heard about the rapture, but didn't know
anything about it much until I read the paper
that Ray wrote about it.

The Homer thing was funny!!! :D

Hey Sorin,

Thanks for posting a link to that video clip! I was wondering about it when you mentioned it in another thread.
It was funny but so true. How could we enjoy heaven if we knew our loved ones were burning in hell.

Paula,

I was always told that we probably won't remember our loved ones who went to hell--that God will erase them from our memories completely. That would explain it all right, but, like the rest of Christianity, it is totally unscriptural.
