Pecan Sandies are my fav cookie; don't eat much cheese unless it's lazagna or enchilada's. I will NOT eat a burger if it has cheese OR pickles.
-
I like pecan sandies too!!! ;D
Sometimes I fix up some Ramen noodle soup using a little less water than it calls for,
then add about 2 tablespoons of milk and a slice of American cheese.
The beef flavor is the best. :D

That sounds good. I am going to try some and let you know what I think of it. I am always trying to look for new ways to dress up Ramon Soup.

does anyone make gingerbread cookies? they are so good! Sometimes I cut them into the shape of men and now with Valentine's Day coming up I will make them for my neighbors in the shape of hearts and frosted with pink! I guess they are pretty common down here as we can always get sorghum pretty easy and cheap.
p.s. we pronounce it "sog um" syrup!
I would say medium cheddar cheese as my favorite.
-
I make peanut butter cookies and add peanut butter chip, they are so good warm.
I also make raisin oatmeal with coconut and pecans in them and they are really good too.
We eat a lot of cheese around here, I have a daughter who makes homemade pizza at least 3 times a week. But I buy sharp cheedar for the to use for everything else.

I used to make gingerbread and gingerbread cookies when my children were growing up.
But I haven't made any in years. I would cut the gingerbread into squares and put Cool Whip
on it. The kids sucked it down! :D The only homemade cookies I make anymore are No Bake
Fudge. They are easy to make and all the grandchildren just love them. ;D
I don't think I have ever had any raisn oatmeal with coconut and pecans. Kat, is that a recipe
you came up with yourself? It sounds really good. I love coconut!! :)

Hi iris,
This was a recipe of my Mom's, I'm not sure where she got it.
Chewy Oatmeal Cookies
1 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 cup Light brown sugar
Stir together until creamy, add
2 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
mix in well, add
3 cups of oatmeal.
You can use either,
1 1/2 cups self-rising flour or
1 1/2 cups plain flour, 1 tea. soda, 1/2 tea. baking powder and 1/2 tea. salt,
mix the dry ingredients together and add a little at a time to creamy mixture.
Add to dough
1 cup coconut
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 cup raisins
stir together just until blended.
Drop by spoonful onto a parchment paper lined cookie sheet, this will make for easy clean up.
Bake at 350 for about 10 mins., on upper oven rack, until the edges turn brown.
Remove pan from oven and slid paper and cookies onto counter.
This makes about 3 doz. med size cookies. enjoy :)
mercy, peace, and love

Hornswaggled is a nice word. And oh, at least you got cookies. Again I did not get any cookies, but that's okay.

Well, I guess you will just have to settle with all those unwanted cookies that those unwanted emailers send to you; ;D ;D
-
Sharp and extra sharp Cheddar ... did you know there is extra sharp? Good stuff, it nearly cuts you... it's THAT sharp ;). And plain Chocolate Chip Cookies ... but they have to be soft and the chips need to easily melt in your mouth. Great topic.
-
Okay...cookies.....italian almond cookies....soft in the center...ummmmm....and for cheese...melted mozzarella on pizza or melted munster on squishy white wonder bread in the toater oven...... :)
-
Y'all need to hush! :P :P :P ;)
-
HOW DID I MISS THIS TOPIC????????????? :o
Fav. Cookie ANY kind w/ peanut butter!!!!
Fav. Cheese Gorgonzola for toppings, Gouda or Edam just to eat!! Also anything that Starving cow makes
I must admit I have never grouped these two together!!!

gena
(no lie, I just finished a peanut butter cookie)
-
Well people,
I know what the most popular cheeses are as well as cookies. So now, when we all gather somewhere, we can look forward to munching on these foods :P :P. Of course, we will need lots of crackers for the cheeses and lots of milk? ice cream? with the cookies. So when are we going to ALL get together to make this happen? I will even be willing to make the cheeses anc crackers tray; I've been told that I make some mean food trays ;D :P :P
Now Gena; you must repent for slacking off here on this post. ;) ;)
-
Susan,
That sounds like a good thing. Forum she is right, she can make some very mean meat trays. I just wish that she would make more. Okay, I had a great piece of Midnight Chocolate Cake about 4-5 layers. And it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo good.
Have a great night.
Sincerely,
Anne C. McGuire
-
...And you didn't save any for me??? REPENT!!!! ;D
-
Susan,
I did repent for it, and my penance was to eat the chocolate cake. I gotta do what the Spirit leads me to do. :))
Sincerely,
Anne C. McGuire
-
???"...one,two, three... "(as I put both hands on my forehead and shake my head in hoplessness for Anne) ;) ??? ;D

Susan,
After reading this reply after what happened tonight and our discussion on the phone, it hits home in a somber and ironic way.
