Title: help to clarify
Post by: B18bhatch on June 13, 2006, 01:10:52 AM
Ok here it is. Just a little confused. Is Jesus the son of in heaven and God in heaven. Because I know he is the son of God but Ray writes that Jesus is the Almighty God of the universe. So how many Gods are there. There only one right. There is no trinity so what is there then. Sorry if I am confusing just a little hard to explain. If you can help me it would be much appreciated. God bless you all

greetings hatch.

somethings are hard to comprehend with the human mind, not
beat yourself up.

GOD is ONE

Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Jhn 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

hope this helps

I'm not exactly sure, but I think that if Ray said:

Quote
Jesus is the Almighty God of the universe

That he means that Jesus, as the Son of God and the Word of God made flesh, is the only image of the Father that we have. It is through the Son that the Father (invisible, holy spirit) manifests Himself to His creation.

The Father was IN the Son and He subjected all things unto the Son until the last enemy is destroyed. Once that happens, the Son will turn the kingdom over to the Father and He will be ALL in ALL.

Jesus has returned TO the Father and TO the Glory that He had with the Father in the beginning (before He came "out from" the Father). They are no longer 'separate' (if you will excuse the expression... as we know they never were... the Father was IN the Son) but ONE... Holy, Invisible, Spirit, God, Comforter,... etc. etc. etc... Almighty God

Did I make it worse??

see how big the univerese is?

billions and billions of light years?

how the heck can we understand God? he's way to big and complexe.

but we can know CHRIST. and be known by HIM.

2Cr 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Christs body was just that a body. nothing more nothing less.

GOD was in a body.

they never where seperate, they where and always  where ONE.

only manifest in a flesh body.

peace

Yes, they are and always were ONE.

By 'separate', I simply meant that in the beginning there was no part of God that was flesh. Christ (or the Word of God) had to come "out from" the Father (invisible holy spirit) in order to manifest Himself to his creation and be crucified.

At the time that Jesus lived, the Father was IN HIM... but the Father still existed 'outside' of Him, as well.... as He encompasses ALL things and IN HIM we (all) "live and move and have our being" ( Acts 17:28 ).

So what does Ray mean when he writes this, can anyone explain this  to me I know they are not equal because Jesus is not in his full glory(sorry if I said it wrong) Here is what Ray writes
Quote
There it is--Jesus Christ HAS A "GOD!" Paul wrote this and all of the above Scriptures AFTER Jesus Christ was resurrected and restored to His previous GLORIES in God. And in His glorified state, Jesus Christ is STILL subjected to HIS GOD! Who wants to be the first blasphemer to even suggest that God the Father "has a God?"!!! But Jesus Christ, DOES have a God! Notice the following:

Eph. 1:3: "Blessed be the God and Father OF our Lord Jesus Christ"

Col. 1:3: "We are thanking the God and Father OF our Lord Jesus Christ"

I Pet. 1:3: "Blessed be the God and Father OF our Lord Jesus Christ"

And remember that these statements concerning Jesus Christ "having a God" were made long after His resurrection and restoration back to His former glories. Today, our Lord STILL HAS A GOD! And need I repeat the fact that the God and Father of Jesus Christ DOES NOT HAVE A GOD?! And someone out there still thinks God is a equilateral trinity?

There is only ONE God (the Father) who manifested Himself among men in the flesh, becoming "the Son".

Christ IS GOD, but He is not the Father; He is not "all" that the Father is (though He HAD all power given to Him from the Father, who had it to give). Does that make sense?

The Father dwelled in the Son, but the Son is/was not the Father (that Invisible, Holy, God who encompasses ALL)

The Father is greater; greater than the Son; greater than all.

The Son is 'the Word' OF GOD made flesh, The 'Word' that came 'out of' the Father..... therefore the Father is greater and the Son is subject to the Father; while the Father is subject to no one.

Not ALL that God is was housed in the man Jesus Christ, as I see it. He had all power and all things were put under Him (except the Father), but the Father and ONE TRUE GOD is not a 'man' as Jesus (the Son) was/is.

Sorry, it's hard to articulate it in words the way I understand it in my head.
