BT Family:
Did Ray ever write a paper on the Matthew 28 great commission? Specifically the part about baptizing in the name of the father, son and Holy Spirit.
Thank you.

Appears to be a spurious scripture.
It contradicts other Scriptures.
In the Book of Acts, the Apostles baptized in the name of Jesus only. Later, Paul stopped baptizing altogether. Then there is the statement by the Apostle John that Jesus Himself did not water baptize anyone.

To add to John, the "true" Great Commission was that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.

Just to clarify what JFK said, and I think he agrees with this but didn't happen to mention it: It is not just the fact that it contradicts that makes it spurious, it also has to do with the content of the oldest remaining ancient manuscripts in comparison to other manuscripts. We don't just go around labeling things spurious because they appear to contradict, otherwise a lot of spiritual gems would be missed.
