Title: Church
Post by: Craig on June 17, 2006, 08:08:36 PM
I know you don't believe in going to church but do we need a pastor? Paul set up every thing on how to run everything in order...pastor,deacon..etc. and to not forsake the assembling of are selves I know the bible doesn't say to go to church but are we supposed to assemble are selves together with a pastor that's suppose to feed gods flock? and what about bout the people who don't know god and there just beginners where do they go? you tell they how to get saved and then from there they can't grow because they don't know or learn nothing form the word of god.and they can easily backslide.

Dear Reader:
God did not call me to establish church congregations and to anoint pastors, elders, deacons, and the like.  I do the best with what God has given me.  Some people INSIST that I tell them where to go to church where they can learn these truths.  Sorry, can't help you in that department--I know of no such churches, but we do from time to time establish local, in-home Bible Studies, but even then we have the same problem that John spoke of when he said:  "I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes [or we could insert some present day status climbing glory seeker] who loves to have the preeminence among them, receives us not" (III John 9).
God be with you,
Ray
