Title: Saved by judgement
Post by: gallenwalsh on April 04, 2010, 01:29:49 PM
. I understand that the called are saved "by judgment"( judgment begins at the house of GOD )I have been unable to find any additional information regarding the rest of the world being saved "Through judgment" and exactly what that means. Will they ( the rest of the world) not be saved by judgment as well? The called ( as I understand it ) are purified by GODS HOLY SPIRIT and baptized into "Christ's DEATH" won't the rest of the world  have the same experience? I know in the old testament there is a scripture that says " I will pour out my spirit on all flesh" that obviously has not happened yet,how will others than the elect be saved  then ? BY the newly established government of GOD ? All comments appreciated.

Excerpt from Lake of Fire Part 6 (http://bible-truths.com/lake6.html):

TAKE HEED HOW YOU BUILD

Constructing a building is a process that requires time and activity. Since God likens the building of His spiritual temple to the assembling of a physical building, then this process, likewise, requires time and activity. Time and activity is what we call living our lives. Now then, when does judgment begin at the building of this house of God? Answer:

"For the time IS COME that judgment must begin at the house of God…" (I Peter 4:17).

And so it clearly has already begun with the Apostles and New Testament Church nearly two thousand years ago. And it is still going on in the Church of God today, in every believer’s life, as he lives his life.

Therefore, Paul warns:

"But let every man take heed HOW he builds [his building’] thereupon" (I Cor. 3:10).

And so judgment is upon the building of God’s house as each individual believer is framed and fitted for the calling that God has for each individual. This judgment began in the days of the Apostles after the resurrection of our Lord. It continued generation after generation down through the age until today when it yet continues. And it will continue still further until the entire harvest of firstfruits is completed. Remember we already learned that if we would judge ourselves now, Paul said we would not be condemned with the world later (I Cor. 11:32).

It is while we are living and building that our works are being tried and judged BY FIRE according to HOW we are building. What fire? God’s fire. God’s "CONSUMING [spiritual] FIRE" (Heb. 12:29)! God is SPIRIT and likewise His fire is SPIRIT. I have never heard a minister or teacher preach on the good and beneficial side of God’s FIRE. Fire is usually portrayed as bringing about pain, evil, and destruction. Since God is GOOD (Luke 18:19), and God is SPIRIT (John 4:24), and God is INVISIBLE (Col. 1:15), why does the church teach the world that God as a CONSUMING FIRE (Heb. 12:29) is visible and not invisible, literal and not spiritual, and bad rather than good?

"For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones [valuable traits of Godly spiritual character] wood, hay, stubble [carnal traits of no value]; Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because IT SHALL BE REVEALED BY FIRE; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is"

Every thought, every word, and every deed that proceeds out of the heart and mind of man is his "WORKS." And every thought, every word, and every deed of man will come into the judgment of Almighty God’s "CONSUMING FIRE." Notice that it is both our things of great value: "gold, silver, precious stones," and our things of no value: "wood, hay, stubble" that are tried in the fire, God’s Consuming Fire. Every person possesses knowledge, therefore, every person is a combination of both good and evil (for knowledge can only be a combination of both good and evil knowledge).

Isa 26:9  ...when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

Gallenwalsh,

God's judgments bring everyone to salvation. The purpose of God's Elect is to bring the wicked/unbelieving through judgment and ultimately salvation.

Also, here's a link to information on how to search the main BT website and also the forum: http://forums.bible-truths.com/index.php/topic,5460.0.html.

I have noticed for awhile, that though you are very enthusiastic for the Word of God and Ray's teachings (which is Good), you may need some assistance in finding references within the articles/studies already posted. A lot of the many questions you ask are already answered throughout the website & forum...maybe this tool will help you find them better.

Hope this helps,

Marques

Hi Gallenwalsh,

There is a article (6) 'The Two Judgments by FIRE' from which Marques got that excerpt above.
http://bible-truths.com/lake6.html

There is also a whole list on Judgment in Categorized list of Ray's emails

Here are a few of those emails.

I know of no one who believe that Jesus Christ really IS "The Saviour of the World," who teaches that one can do anything and yet be saved. ("Saved" is a Scriptural word--"going" to heaven is not).  Certainly I have never taught any such unscriptural nonsense. I teach the Scriptures. There will be those who will be saved  (not NOW) but in the First Resurrection. And then there are the rest who will come up in the Second Resurrection to JUDGMENT.  That will not be a pretty picture. Oh yes, all will be saved, but only through very severe JUDGEMENT.  Everyone WILL repent, and be purged and cleansed by God's spiritual FIRE Heb. 12:29).  They WILL learn to live godly lives of righteousness (Isa . 26:9, Phil. 2:9-11, etc.).  Christendom will go through this purging of the lake of fire.  The Harlot Church will learn "godliness and righteousness" before they will ever enter into the family of God. That is why we are warned, Aaron, "COME OUT OF HER MY PEOPLE" (Rev. 18:4).  Have YOU, Aaron, come out of that Mystery Babylon religion of spiritual whores and harlots?

So, what happens to those who do not believe?

Ronald, you are so steeped in Christian paganism that you can't even read your Bible anymore and believe what you read:

In the resurrection to JUDGMENT, ALL UNBELIEVERS WILL BELIEVE:

Isa 11:9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

Hab 2:14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

And what will all this GOD KNOWLEDGE accomplish?  God our Saviour; 1Ti 2:3-6 "Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time."

Isa 26:9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

Act 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

Phi 2:10-11 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; Phi 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

And a hundred more Scriptures just like these..........

You wrote in part of your answer to someone's question: "The ONLY hope of the dead is the RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD."

So it looks like those resurrected to judgement are still spoken of as the "DEAD" and it doesn't say they are resurrected to "LIFE".  If I've got this right, it's not until after the judgement that the "DEAD" will finally be made alive and have "LIFE".
Am I even close? :-)
Thanks again,
Dale Ray

Dear Dale:

Yes, you are close. "The "dead" are being judged because they are those who were dead, and also, even though resurrected to life, they are still spiritually dead, and that is the purpose for the judgment in fire--to bring them to spiritual life.

No, God is not "unfair."  You are still looking at the lake of fire as some kind of a dungion of torture in real fire. It is JUDGMENT, not solely punishment. And Jesus plainly has told us that it is according to the magnitude of one's crimes. "Many stripes versus few stripes."

We too go through the fire of God's spiritual judgment:  Jugement is upon the house of God NOW (I Pet. 4:17 and Heb. 12:29).  It isn't pleasant, but it is not total torture either.  There are two aspects of Judgment:  [1] We must be purged of our old carnal sinful attitudes, and [2] we must then grow spiritually by godly living and produce spiritual fruit (Gal. 5:22-25).

The Church only partially sees the need for these in those called in this life, but is totally blind to the fact that Judgment produces the same thing in the Resurrection to Judgment.  They think that "grace" is merely a noun that does it all for us rather than grace being a verb that does it all  IN us and THROUGH us (by the Spirit of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross). God is ABLE to make us holy and righteous through His work in us and He is likewise able to do the same for the rest of humanity in Judgment.  We blaspheme if we suggest that God either does not want to save humanity or that He is unable.

I have explained many times,

Jesus paid the PENALTY for sin, but paying the penalty for sin does not GET THE SIN

OUR OF THE SINNER.  That is the purpose for judgment--to set things right: to set people right.

Etc., etc.  Jesus saves us FROM our sins, not IN our sins.

God be with you,

Ray

Another important writing on Judgment from ref:

THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT IS FOR CHRIST'S DISCIPLES
THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT IS FOR YOU, NOW!

GEHENNA FIRE IS JUDGMENT FIRE ON ALL GOD'S ELECT

Clearly the sermon on the mount was not directed toward the Pharisees, or the Sadducees, or the Scribes, or the chief priests, or the Jews, or Judea, or the multitudes, or the unbelieving nations of the world, but rather for Christ's followers. That is for you if you are a follower of Jesus.
