Title: The need for speed

I got stopped for speeding yesterday.  I thought I could talk my way out of the ticket until the officer took a glance at my dog in the backseat:

Hey that dog looks like me a few times that I got pulled over back in the days, in that same position in the front seat.

It's funny how thing's stir up old memories. This made me think of a time when I was very young and just big enough to stand between the bucket seats of my Dads 67 Chevelle Super Sport.

My Paw Paw was in the passenger seat and my Dad was driving, we just pulled out on a street and Paw Paw says to Dad, "well, show me what she's got son" that's all the encouragement my Dad needed to stomp the gas peddle sending me for a flip into the back seat! Of course I was smiling the whole time and always enjoyed the trill of fast cars.

I received a citation in Dec and I'm not eligible for defensive driving because I have a CDL!  :(

But on a brighter note, NHRA racing starts this weekend in Pomona! ;D
