Title: Why the devil hated Adam
Post by: winner08 on August 25, 2008, 03:32:43 AM
I have been doing some reading and I came across an old text that gives some information on Adam And Eve. According to this text after they were kicked out of the garden they were hungry and tired so Adam told Eve that they should show penitence and maby the Lord would have mercy on them and let them back in the garden where everything was good. Anyway Adam told Eve that He would go to the river Jordan and stand in the river on a stone in water up to his neck for 40 day also fasting. Eve was to go to the Tigris and do the same for 30 days. While in the river Tigris Eve was very upset to say the least and was crying and very cold and hungry. The devil came to her and pretended to be a kind soul to agree with her. Feeling her pain. He told Eve that she done enough and God heard her and forgave her and would let them back in the garden. Eve left the river and headed to Adam. When Adam seen her He knew the devil was with her and deceived her again. Adam ask the devil why, why does he hate them so much. What did they do to him in order for him to put them through all this. This is what the devil said. That God created him in God's image and Michael worshiped Adam and Michael told the devil the he too will worship Adam because Adam was man in the image of God. The devil refused. He said why should he worship a creature who is younger than him.who's been here a very short time. The devil said to Michael I've been here for a very long time and Adam should worship me. This is why the devil hated Adam and Eve. He was thrown out of heaven because he wouldn't worship Adam. According to this text I was reading. Weird. Of course I don't believe it. I just thought it was interesting.

Yeah...Darren....I don't believe that either,  :-\

Especially sense I think there is something more to whom Michael is than just an Angel.

When I've read these other writtings, I understand why they weren't included in the Bible.  Although interesting to see knowledge in some that was beyond their capability.  Like Enoch knowing that the light from the Moon was just a reflection of the suns light...This was before the flood, how did he know this?

I think it was Brian, that pointed out in another post, that man wasn't dragging clubs and their knuckles around as the world teaches us.  That definition of why Satan hates us is contrary to a Sovereign God who tells us, he created Evil.  Satan is a necessary Tool created by God to use to teach us!

Satan didn't create himself into some rebel with a cause riding a motorcycle and a tattoo!  ::) ;D ;)

IMHO Interestingly Silly,

Hi Brenda,

Your mention of "knuckle-dragging" stirred me.

Yesterday I was reading the transcript of the 2007 conference (completely frustrated by Ray's teasers regarding the 2008 conference!  ;D) and came to the part where he mentioned that modern man suddenly appeared on the scene 50,000-100,000 years ago.  Nobody has adequately speculated about timelines and how science and Scripture actually do line up, so I'll be on the edge of my seat until the 2008 audio is available, but it (thankfully) brings to light the archaeological conflict of 4,000,000 year old subhuman skeletons.  I'm hoping for some insight into that and how it relates to Adam.

I hate this waiting.  I don't know how Ray is able to be patient and sit on this information.  I'd be busting at the seams, blurting it out to anyone within earshot.
