    Dear Scott:

No one "goes to hell" and no one "goes to heaven."  ALL DIE, and remain dead until something happens that is virtually nowhere taught in all Christendom. Are you ready for this? This is a doctrine that is in the Bible but is considered virtually worthless. Ready?  Here it is:  It is called "the resurrection from the dead."  Ever hear of it?  It's in there--check out I Cor. 15 for example.

The chosen Elect saints of God will be resurrected AS JUDGES to   judge the rest of humanity who will be raised from the dead TO JUDGMENT.  I don't know which individuals from the past are Elect of God or not. But you can rest assured that none are or ever will be in an eternal hellhole of torture, however, all are judged:  either now, or in the Judgment at the resurrection.

    God be with you,

    Ray
