Title: Apparent Contradiction in 2 Chron & 2Kings

Hi all, I was wondering if anybody can answer an apparent Contradiction about Ahazaih's age when he became king. In (2Kings 8:26), it says he was 22years old and in, (2 Chron 22:2), that he was 42. Do anyone know what's going on here??? 😁🤔

could be an error of transcription or ambiguous phrase.

Not sure which Bible translation you using,but both verses say the same thing.

2Ki 8:26 (NET) Ahaziah was twenty-two years old when he became king and he reigned for one year in Jerusalem. His mother was Athaliah, the granddaughter of King Omri of Israel.

2Ch 22:2 (NET) Ahaziah was twenty-two years old when he became king and he reigned for one year in Jerusalem. His mother was Athaliah, the granddaughter of Omri.
