Pardon my ignorance, but I have been out for a while and I'm not hip to ALL the babylon jive. :D
One of my sisters is more into the charsimatic side of the church and puts a lot of store in this concept. I see it mentioned often in articles and emails at B-T, usually someone accusing Ray of mistreating 'the annointed'. I've done a bit of research on what it means in the B-T sense (and can continue that on my own--though I'm appreciative of that info too) but I am pretty clueless as to what the charismatics 'mean' when they say it. Any help?

I believe this is usually applied to those who claim to have a special anointing. Those types frequently claim to have been caught up into heaven for chats with Jesus and His Father, to regularly receive direct and supernatural revelations form the Holy Spirit. They really love to say "Thus saith the Lord..."
