Title: Thanksgiving Weather Forecast
Post by: hillsbororiver on November 22, 2006, 05:48:52 PM
Thanksgiving Weather Forecast

In the pre-Thanksgiving rush, we have received an early
weather report from our in-house weather reporters. This is
one, you should be sure to email your Mom.
Turkeys will thaw in the morning, then warm in the oven to an
afternoon high near 190F. The kitchen will turn hot and
humid, and if you bother the cook, be ready for a severe
squall or cold shoulder.

During the late afternoon and evening, the cold front of a
knife will slice through the turkey, causing an accumulation
of one to two inches on plates. Mashed potatoes will drift
across one side while cranberry sauce creates slippery spots
on the other. Please pass the gravy.

A weight watch and indigestion warning have been issued for
the entire area, with increased stuffiness around the
beltway. During the evening, the turkey will diminish and
taper off to leftovers, dropping to a low of 34F in the
refrigerator.

Looking ahead to Friday and Saturday, high pressure to eat
sandwiches will be established. Flurries of leftovers can be
expected both days with a 50 percent chance of scattered soup
late in the day. We expect a warming trend where soup
develops. By early next week, eating pressure will be low as
the only wish left will be the bone.

Joe,

I don't know where you got that, but it was funny. I love the part about the mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce.

This year I'm fixing a Cranberry Pork Roast for Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

I'm not going back home (TX) for Thanksgiving this year; I had a nice Porterhouse cut, will throw a tater in the wave, fix a small salad, and have several pieces of pecan pie.

It is a crisp blue beautiful day here in Nashville. I just finished my Thanksgiving feast for one.

1/2 a Rock cornish hen,  candied babby carrots, raspberry cranberry sauce and a ceasar salad. I plan to eat the other half of the bird for lunch at work tommorrow.

Now I have to get some work done around the house  and need to exercise some so I can pay for some of the calories in this feast for one .  The way I look at this is that I am already ahead because I turned down several invites to dinner. I would have tasted and eaten more food if I had atteneded any of these.  At any rate I rather enjoy spending this day in my jammies.

Just put the dishes away and had to check in with "my people".  How can everything still sound yummy when I am stuffed??

We had the traditional dinner.  But our daughter & son in law gave us an untraditional announcement:

Taaaa  Daaaaa.........We are going to have TWIN grandbabies in June!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Well, Joe Brian SandyFla (who else?) will have to put off retiring to Florida for a few more years.

Love,
gena

Sure hope Jennie had a peaceful Thanksgiving.
