I am single, 61, and need a wife (as soon as possible).   :D :D :D :D :D :D

Don't let my age fool you.  The older the violin, the sweeter the music.

People, please think this one through. Having a partner in life can be a good thing. Keeping the vows and putting up with another all the time is work. Loving one another and supporting them plus, if children come is the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. At this age I look back and wonder where my brain disconnected.  Sure, lots of good times but just as many bad times. A person can be more lonely in a marriage than being single when you find out that the person you thought was great, isn't.  And when you find out you aren't so great too!!!! Dreams can turn into nightmares!!   Sorry, I am such a downer on this subject but having been at it for 51 yrs, I've seen both sides.  You have to stay close to God on this one.

Thank you so much Judy, that is great encouragement!
I have seen aLot with married couples and I do fear marriage sometimes. I pray much about this and seek God about a godly husband To be honest there are a few, I would not want to be yoked together with an unbeliever. .. but if that is God's will then that is fine.! But also If it is God's will for me to be unmarried, like Paul, and remain celibate then amen!

John from Kentucky- i will pray for you too!

I’ll be sure to pray for God to grant you peace of mind in such a difficult  situation--especially for someone your age--Miranda, and for you to find someone appropriate for you, if that is in His will for you at this time.
I think that you'll find a lot of great suggestions from some of the other members, like you already have from Judy.
Your brother in Christ,
Randy

You’re very welcome, Miranda. I’m happy to see that you’re already considering some of the suggestions offered by Judy. Here are a couple of magnificent scriptures about the value of “waiting on the Lord.”
Sincerely,
Randy

Psalm 27:14, AKJV:

14 Wait on the LORD:
be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart:
wait, I say, on the LORD.

Isaiah 40:31, AKJV:

31 but they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.

What's the rush! It can work both way's! Some time we think we have found a jewel  , only to find we have a lump of coal! And then when some one come's out way, it seems that the last person in the world you would want, not knowing that the best person who will love you and care for you! I am reminded of a story I heard about 2 men who was in the mental hospital! One on the first floor, and the other on the second floor. The one on the first floor kept repeating, "Mary don't love me", all day long! The man on the second floor kept repeating, "Mary, O Mary"! Well one day these 2 men meet, and began to talk, and as God would have it, they found out that they were talking about the same Mary! They came to the conclusion that one went crazy because he didn't marry Mary, and the other went crazy because he married Mary! [smile]  Tim

OLD?  ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

I hear 80 is the new 60.

My best years are still ahead of me.

I will consider matrimony with two types of women.

A young woman who will help me stay young at heart, or

A 95 year old wealthy widow who would appreciate a wild honeymoon prior to passing on and awaiting the resurrection.
