One of my favorite videos from Ray has been, "Where does God's Knowledge and Wisdom Come From?" on the Bible Truth's homepage. In that video, he references Genesis 1:1 and the phrase "In the beginning", and how Strong's last definition of that Hebrew phrase is "principal thing". Ray then connects the word "wisdom" and the phrase "principal thing" nicely in Proverbs 4:7, and then goes on to describe the incredible suffering of God in bringing forth this "wisdom" in Proverbs 8:24-25!
Hebrews 8:1 talks about Jesus our High Priest "seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the Heavens". Interestingly, this verse also mentions the phrase "(this is) the sum" beforehand. If you look up that phrase "(this is) the sum" in the Greek (kephalaion), it also has a definition of "a principal thing" in Strongs, and "the principal thing" in Thayer's Greek Lexicon.
To me, it was awesome to combine Ray's entire video and Hebrews 8:1 into one very eye opening study of Jesus and "the throne of the Majesty in the Heavens", our "(this is) the sum" or "principal thing".
