Title: Confused
Post by: Craig on July 14, 2006, 03:23:15 PM
Dear Ray,
Hope you're well.I'm confused by 1 Corinthians 1:25,'Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men,and the weakness of God...'
Please do your thing(pre-destined,obviously-God's thing??...let me off,i'm still learning-we're all still learning)-so what i'm asking is whether this implies that God can be weak and foolish?I don't believe this can be the case but can't conceive how it doesn't imply this;unless it's in the sense of God willing himself to be so??I'm guessing, and this may anger you,but an answer would be appreciated-angry answer, even.
  Take care,God bless,Duncan.

Dear Duncan:
These are "figures of speech."  There is no "foolishness" with God, but if there were, then it would be much wiser than the wisdom of men.
God be with you,
Ray
