Title: Facebook Allegations
Post by: Samson on August 10, 2010, 01:14:58 AM
Hello Forum,

There is at least a possibility that the Facebook team dislikes Ray Smith too. I was sending a message on facebook to someone I knew long ago, a probable EX-JW like myself explaining The Eventual Salvation Of All, respectfully, mind you, sticking to a few points and inviting them to check out the Bible-Truths Site, attempting to keep the message short, so as to not overwhelm them and Lo and behold when submitting the message(personal message), the Gestapo Facebook team accused me of abuse, based on telling someone something they(the facebook team) didn't think that person wanted to hear. Remember, the person hadn't even received the message. When typing the web address of this Site, a link to Ray Smith's Bible Truth Site attached itself to my message. It's amazing because how often have I viewed different ones on Facebook using filthy language without repercussions and I send a message of Truth to an old friend who I was confidant would benefit. Just Venting, any thoughts or comments. The person in question didn't even have the Adult opportunity to decide what they thought was acceptable to them, the "Morally Clean" Facebook team made the decision for them. Watch Out, Big Brother is a watch in.

Self Control and Tolerance needed, Samson.

Unless the old friend, friended you on facebook, the facebook computer will stop you from sending anything it considers spam.  Sometimes these bots decide based upon that persons likes and dislikes.  But religion, sex, viagra, politics etc. is usually stopped.  Have the friend add you as a facebook friend and then you should be able to send the message.

Thanks Craig,

That was my next step, add as a friend first, hopefully I won't need Viagra,  ;).

I joined Facebook about 10 months ago. Under my profile it lists "Religious Views." I entered http://bibletruths.com. I have never had any repercussions on that.

George,

I took Craig's advice and requested friendship with this Person in question and They added me as a friend. So, it worked out anyway. The day that happened, it just hit a nerve, sometimes we just have to wait it out.

                                  Kind Regards, Samson.
