Dear Tim: No, apparently you are the "ignorant" one. Jesus assuredly DID NOT "receive tithes." You made that up. Neither Hebrews 7 nor any other Scripture suggests that Jesus received tithes. Besides, Israel did not tithe to "the high priest," but rather to Levi, and the strangers, fatherless, poor, etc. There is no Levitic priesthood today, and all members of the Body of Christ are priests (I Pet. 2:9). So if the entire Body of Christ (the Church) is a priesthood, who pray tell, would tithe to all us "priests?" Besides, money was never a titheable commodity, so that bit of modern heresy won't work either.
