Hello Ray, can you help me? I need to know where to find Bibles / Greek manuscripts any material that you use to study the Bible. Hopefully soft ware for my computer. I read your web site and I do agree with what you say on the most part. Some how I knew before I found your site but thankfully finding your site confirmed what I knew, it was a relief to say the least. Any way the reason I need to find the material is to check for myself and not just trust you for everything , no offense intended. I just don't know where to get the info. and I do not have a lot of money. So if you could drop me a line as to where I might find the material . Dear Sonny: I'm afraid you will be dissapointed when I give you all my "main material" that
I use to study the Bible. I remember about ten years ago someone wrote me and wanted
to know which were the books that I got all my material from. They wanted to read those
same books and get my material from the SOURCE. Well, there are no such books or
materials that I use or even know of, but here are the materials that I use:
For my computer I use "e-Sword" which can be downloaded free from the Internet.
Reference books I use: A couple of Bible Dictionaries--Wycliffe's Bible Dictionary;
Vines Dictionary of Bible Words (They are about $20 at any good Bible Book Store).
The Englishman's Greek Concordance of the New Testament and The Englishman's
Hebrew Concordance of the Old Testament. (About $50 At a good Bible Book Store)
Two English Dictionaries: The American Heritage and Websters Collegiate.
Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible. (About $30-$40 any Bible book store)
Numerous Bible Translations:
The King James Authorized Version ($5 to $200, any Bible book store).
The New Testament from 26 Translations (About $30 most Bible book stores).
The Emphasized Bible by Rotherham (About $50, most Bible book stores).
The Concordant Literal New Testament and Literal Old Testament (About $50 from
Concordant.org).
The Emphatic Diaglott (About $10. Not sure where you can find one. Maybe the Internet).
Moffatt Translation (About $25 at better Bible book stores).
The New Revised Standard Version (About $10-20 most Bible book stores).
Green's Greek-English New Testament Interlinear; (About $25 at Bible book stores).
Concordant Greek Text (About $30 at: concordant.org).
That's about it. About 100th the size of most pastor's library.
What you need if you want to learn the Truths of God at their source, is THE HOLY SPIRIT.
That can't be purchased at any Bible book store.
1Co 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
1Co 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
1Co 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
1Co 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them because they are spiritually discerned.
