Dear Ray,
Thanks for writing me. Since I've written you I've weighed what is really important in my relationship with Jesus vs being Catholic. I've decided a month ago that I'm quite unhappy with the practices and apostasies of the Catholic church. I wrote a letter to the Monsignor in Salt Lake City. He basically told me to like it or lump it.
So lump it I did and I thank God I've left. The Catholic church is a lot like the LDS church in that church officials dictate how members believe. Now I'm exploring options such as visiting the Evangelical Free Church in Roy, Utah. My Catholic friends were shocked but I told them it was my decision to leave the church.
