Title: Ray is in the Hospital
Post by: Dennis Vogel on May 20, 2012, 12:06:35 PM
Ray is in the Hospital having his back x-rayed.

He has been in more pain than he has ever had, even with all the pain killer drugs he is taking.

Please lets all pray for him.

My prayers go out to him. How bravely he and Manuela have borne their trials! That in itself is such a witness, even apart from the teachings he has shared from God.

Dennis...
Thank you for sharing the update with us.
My husband and I read Rays message on Mothers Day... speaking of the comfort that he and Manuella share with each other.  It really touched a chord down in our hearts.. as Dennis and I have been that for each other also thru some tough times.  The thing that stands out to us... is how he felt the need to encourage everyone else.  God knows the depth of agony they are going through and our prayers are just for Gods will to be done.  His promises are true no matter what, and His grace is always sufficient.
Our love and our prayers are with you Ray & Manuella, every day.
God Bless you
Dennis & Connie

The whole family is in our prayers. It is only through Gods will that Ray is still with us, He knows the work that He has given Ray on earth. Ray has suffered so through this cancer, and his family, he will surely be rewarded with that crown x

Watching the suffering and pain of another is hard to endure.

Sometimes I wonder if some pain that people go through is not so much for the "benefit" of the one experiencing it as it is for the ones on the sidelines.  It moves you into action -- like, prayer.

Dr. Steger kept a man with stage IV cancer alive for four - five years because we prayed.

They are only able to give Ray a shot every three hours. At first it was enough but now it's only lasting an hour and a half.

It's unlikely he will leave the hospital.

The doctor said we should let the family members know. He's not going to be with us more than a few more days.

He is on very potent pain medication and sleeps all the time and no longer talks.

That certainly is sad.  :-[

But of course, it's God's will and it's amazing how a man in his condition survived this long. From what I remember him saying in one of his messages, he should have been dead in Feburary 2009. In any case, it doesn't make it any less sad that he will no longer be with us or for those close to him. I pray that God's will be done and that he brings comfort to those who are close to Ray.

Thats sad Dennis, although not unexpected.  Very soon now and he'll be out of pain.  His passing will take quite a long time to process.  When you stop to think that Ray was the tool that God used to directly impact our lives and to bring unto us the real truth of the gospel how can you quantify that or put a price on it?  He will be dearly missed....but we shall all meet him again someday when we behold our Lord face to face.

I was praying for a miracle too and then I remembered something my sister said once about her son -- he is the miracle.

I truly hope he is resting peacefully and in not one ounce of pain.

Both he and Manuella are in my continual thoughts.

Thanks for letting us know, Dennis.  What a sad and great loss.  :'(

This is also one of my many questions in life....

I hope God, if He is willing, to alleviate Ray's pain now....

I just prayed for Ray.  I asked God why we must endure such intense pain?  I know Jesus suffered His entire earthly life and especially His last few days.  But why?  What does severe, intense pain do or accomplish in our lives?

And I perceived a new heaven and a new earth, for the former heaven and the former earth pass away, and the sea is no more. And I perceived the holy city, new Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. And I hear a loud voice out of the throne saying, "Lo! the tabernacle of God is with mankind, and He will be tabernacling with them, and they will be His peoples, and God Himself will be with them.
And He will be brushing away every tear from their eyes. And death will be no more, nor mourning, nor clamor, nor misery; they will be no more, for the former things passed away."
And He Who is sitting on the throne said, "Lo! New am I making all!" And He is saying, "Write, for these sayings are faithful and true."

I can't wait!

As always praying.

This is exactly the same way me and my wife feel. Ray is like a dear old friend. I don't know if he knows about us, but it doesn't really matter. He has been praying for everyone on the forum. In spirit we are all together in our God. Ray and his family has been on my mind at my work today, and I have had so different feelings, both sadness and hope and joy. I just want what God knows is best.

God bless you all,

People sometimes will call me on the phone and the first thing they will do is apologize or they will send an email and say, ‘I apologize I’m asking this question.’ I say you don’t need to apologize, I don’t get to them all, but you don’t need to apologize to me for writing. I don’t give my telephone number out to very many people, because I know even if they used it with restraint, I would probably be on that phone and I wouldn't have time to do anything. But they apologize that they are taking my time… who me, that’s what I live for. That’s why I am here, that’s why I exist. That’s what my only goal in life is any more, is to do the will of God. Whatever that is, I going to do that. So don’t apologize if you ask me to help you in some spiritual way, that’s why I exist, that’s what I live for, that’s my life.
We will miss him so.

Very good Janine.... my sentiments exactly.  I had read that comment from Ray also.  He is a very prideless and humble man.

May God bless him and his family during this trial.

Arms, legs, ears, lungs - these are all part

Ray, I love you like a brother and will miss you. I wish I could have met you in person but we exchanged some emails. Thanks brother for all you have written and said these past years. I first read your articles when I was 18. I'm now 22. I hope our Lord grants you health to live more years but if not, I love you and will see you in the Heavens to thank you in person. I Cor 2:9 "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."

We know that Ray surely loves Christ and I know I will NEVER forget Ray. I love his humor and straight to the point character. I was deceived by the horrendous doctrines of eternal torture and didn't know that I was delusional. Christ revolutionized my life through Ray's articles and through Dr. Stephen E. Jones. Seen you soon brother.

May God's precious will be complete in you. I can not even begin to imagine the blessings you will one day receive for being the servant that you are and have been.

God bless you my precious friend, mentor and brother.

I am the resurrection and the Life, saith the Lord:  He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet he shall live:  and whosoever liveth and believeth in me, shall never die.
I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though his body be destroyed, yet shall I see God:  Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not as a stranger.
We brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.  The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.

Wow...that time we all feared is finally upon us. I'm heart broken....along with the rest of you. Thankfully we've got each other as Ray and Manuela have us. What an honor to see such abundant grace, mercy and long suffering at work. Ray is a living, breathing example to us all - of the fruit of the Spirit at work. If I had a tenth of this abundance I'd be happy.

Through all the suffering and heartache, you know what? ...and this is what amazes me....You can bet Ray's last thoughts and prayers will be of and for us all. That's what Ray is like. Amazing.

Via con Dios Ray.

with much love,

Your blessings are coming soon and your pain will be turned into joy. I am certain when the resurrection takes place you will be there to embrace so many of us that you never even knew in person. 1 Corinthians 15:52 (KJV)
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed
.

Dear Brother Ray, it's almost time... and then, from your perspective, in the twinkling of an eye, you shall be changed! That brings profound comfort to my heart and hopefully to others as well.

Until my time comes I will remember you and the wonderful Gospel you've shared with us all, and I will continue to pray and strive to obey it.

God, Father, Lord, please give us the wisdom to comfort and edify each other in this time of sorrow.

I just prayed for Ray.  I asked God why we must endure such intense pain?  I know Jesus suffered His entire earthly life and especially His last few days.  But why?  What does severe, intense pain do or accomplish in our lives?

John,

I've been asking the same things you mention above, I know the intellectual & logical answers to these questions as presented from Ray's material and I'm sure that you do too, but emotionally, the gravity of such suffering and pain is beyond Me, don't like the fact that God plans for suffering to the extent We might receive it, but He's in charge and even though I don't have to like it, which admittedly, I don't, it's a happening, it's been that kind of year for Family Members and myself, I can't even fathom the extent of pain Ray's going through, especially with all the full dosage of pain killers He's receiving to try and ease some of His suffering.

Take Care, Samson.

Thank you for your honest words Samson. You are right. I think that we are not to appreciate the suffering in itself, but the fruits that it can produce. I remember one thing Ray said in this regard. He was sure that God put Him through this terrible suffering so that he would have more love and understanding for other people suffering and struggling. Imagine that! Amazing! All things work together for good, indeed. But I will not for one minute suggest that it doesn't greatly trouble me.

God bless you,
Eirik

Manuela;

We are standing shoulder to shoulder with you and those down there.  Even though most of us have never met you or Ray there is no way we can adequately express what you both mean to us.  Obviously God has used Ray mightily to share truths which are very rare today but Ray would never of been able to do what he has done without you standing by him and with him assisting him in this ministry.  Lives have been changed forever.  As the saying goes you can count the seeds in an apple but you can't count the apples in a seed.  Much seed has been sown from this website since it's inception.  Ray's efforts and yours have not been in vain.  May God strengthen and encourage you and those with you in these difficult days.

I'm still praying for a miracle.  My faith is not very great.  Surely most of yours outstrips mine.  Yes, it's right and in right relationship with God to pray for His will to be done, but His ultimate will concerning Ray's health has not yet been revealed.  I want to choose to not be concerned about tomorrow today, as hard as that is.

Ray is miles and miles away from where I am but his writings (through Jesus Christ's faith, grace and wisdom) are so near to me.  Everytime I read his response to e-mail, and again and again read his articles, his voice seem to reverberate in my ears.

I have prayed to God the Father, if He is willing, to extend more breath and strength to Ray.  I believe he has still more thoughts to share to us.... a lot more.

I was in a group of people tonight and my mind kept going to Ray. I'm praying God eases his pain and lifts his burdens.
Dear Manuela, I want you to know my life is changed because God led Ray to know His truths  and then share them in this unlikely way. There is a song called "For Good". The refrain says, "Who can say if I've been changed for the better? I do believe I have been changed for the better. And because I knew you, I have been changed for good.". I feel that way about Ray and his ministry.
God bless.

Manuela we love both you and Ray so much! Your husband is so blessed to have you by his side and I hope we can all stay in contact with you no matter what happens! Thank you for being so good to him and supportive help mate. He has always said so many wonderful things about you, he is a blessed man for certain to have you.

much Love and blessings,
Matt

I'm still praying for a miracle.  My faith is not very great.  Surely most of yours outstrips mine.  Yes, it's right and in right relationship with God to pray for His will to be done, but His ultimate will concerning Ray's health has not yet been revealed.  I want to choose to not be concerned about tomorrow today, as hard as that is.

My thoughts exactly Dave. My thoughts exactly...

God bless you,
Eirik
