Hi JD,
I did get to visit with Ray and Manula last week. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how well Ray appeared. I think I caught him on a very good day, as Manula felt it had just been in the few day before that he began to do much better since his surgery. He had seen his therapist the day before and he had told Ray he was right where he was suppose to be. Ray seemed to be managing his pain quite well to, as he walked around a bit while I was there, slow and he uses a walker for balance, but he is managing to get around some.
So as you can see it was a very uplifting visit and glad to share it with you :)

Has he been able to see his new cancer coach that he's been talking about yet?
-
Hi Arion,
No he is not well enough. He has a therapist that comes to his house to work with him. These cancer treatments he is researching are not local and he is still really weak and I don't think he could travel any time soon.

how is Manula?

Manula is a rock, she takes care of him like nobody else could. It's taking it's toll though.

Ray appears to be feeling much better. Just look at all the emails that've been posted recently. :D
Puuuuraise Gawd! Seriously, thank God. Hard to forget that not long ago we were all hoping and praying God would bring him through that surgery. I sure hope he and Manuela are getting some much needed rest and peace of mind. Also praying there are no serious complications in connection with the surgery.
(Appreciated the clarifying email exchange today re Lazarus & the Rich Man. Thanks, Levy. I'm also looking forward to getting and reading that book: The Black Church: Women Pray and Men Prey.)

I know I need to pray for them constantly. May God bless them.

It gives me joy to know that Ray is doing well.
I myself have physical problem that might need therapist's care. Not that serious though but Ray's perseverance and concern to his health and condition encourage me to do likewise.

Kat, Dennis and all,
Thank you for keeping us up on Ray and Manuela!
I am anxious and will be relieved to hear a POSITIVE note on whether the implanted metal hip is HEALING/SECURING to the porous bones caused by Ray's medicines, x-rays, and all.
It is MANDATORY that that BONDING takes place! Pray and keep us informed---Give Ray and Manuela our love! Duane
